eek!! I'll pass on that stuff personally.

Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
Quick tangent: Speaking of petroleum, had a question the other day at a hospital event as to" if my paint contained petroleum, as their child was allergic to it?"
I honestly didn't know (Paradise, Tag, Wolfe, DFX, Kryolan, Ben Nye & Mehron all in my kit).
Never heard of an allergy to petroleum either!
Anybody know/experience this?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MM!!! I use them all the time, and the range is definitely expanding, I went today and got a pearl purple, fluro orange, green, pink, they have the silver and gold, I have never had anyone with a reaction although my daughters friend finds them itchy once dried, and she doesn't feel the same way about TAG or DFX.
I have used these at heaps of events and never had a complaint or a reaction so I will keep using them. They're easy to use to make your own split cakes...and most of all CHEAP and easily accessible since I don't have easy access to TAG or DFX except online, so if I need a colour quick, they're easily found! The fluros are a little different in consistency but they still paint fine! I'm happy happy!

Gravenkiss,
Glad to find another MM fan. Have been using these all the time BUT my local Art Shed (WA) is still not stocking the new coulours. Looks like I'll have to order online from the East. Have you tried to make a Dippy Pot (liquid) from the white? Thats my next adventure into cutting my paints up

In response to the comments about Vaseline, it is a petroleum product and has been banned in the EU countries and Canada. Only the US which has such poor safety guidelines still allows it!

Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
i dont understand why vaseline would be an issue. i use that stuff all the time, its used on skin everyday if your a tattoo artist and let me say their safety standards are insane! and i use it for my lips when they are sore. i like to believe that australia has pretty good safety standards and the product is in australia? the makeup we put on our face everyday is way more harmful than alot of the face painting products.
Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
gorjessfaces you are right - vaseline has been used on my face lips etc for years as a kid growing up ...i'm now 27 and no issues there whatsover - its a barrier cream almost..... and these paints while i still use TAG and Diamond FX these are great buffer paints and in some events...all i use!!!!!!! The only problem is they sell out so quick!!! Its crazy though - how many home face painters are there that are willing to pay for each colour separatley instead of buying one of those old kits....?!? I'm confused as to why they are selling so quick - I've been searching for white for weeks and I have gone to two STACKS stores, one discount store that usually sells them near me AND an art store as well who normally gets them...no white or black?!?!?!?!? They're obviously selling,.....
Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
i didnt have a problem with getting all the colours i needed i went to a discount store down the road from my place, you know the ones that are jam packed with tones of crap haha, anyway there was a HUGE box of them on the floor near the makeup section tones and tones. i got one of each colour but i really should stop getting paint now i have too many i cant fit them in my kit. i had a play around with them last night and seriously they are just like my tag paints.. i could not tell the difference. im going to use them to make a tone of splits and onestrokes. pretty excited about this find.
Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
Well I'm adding to this thread whether you might have come across a cheap brand called "radical paint"? I have seen it in variety stores and am tempted because they have a 'glow in the dark' paint ( these paints are liquid and I'm hoping they are not the same as derivan) any info is much appreciated since we all seem to be in the same places
Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
Oh my goodness, I used Derivan for the first time today. I volunteered at an event and they supplied everything. Although the kids loved their faces, that paint makes you feel like you have no talent. Awful stuff!!

Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?
I found this paint in a store here in Adelaide and liked the look of the red (I've been on the hunt for a nice red for spiderman) so I bought it and tried it out on my leg tonight... while the lighting isn't great in my room here, the colour looks just perfect!!! No streaking and it went on really well! I've been using TAG, but find it goes quite dark when it dries... this seems to be a great alternative!! I tried a bit on my hand earlier and it washed off so easily as opposed to the TAG which left staining... My brush was so easy to wash out too! After reading this thread, I feel more confident about it's safety and might just give this a go next weekend!!!
Re: Has anybody seen or tried this - mont marte body art paint?

I bought some recently in Darwin. They had some one strokes as well as the paints. I also got some of their glitter and glue for skin.
