Tiger and Cat Faces!

Krissie, LOVE the fantasy cat eyes that look like flames. I can't believe this great thread but it is very intimidating. I think the blending you guys are doing on your colors is great.

I'm kind of a visual learner...I guess I need to see someone doing the blending in person. I'm getting much better but a lot of these look airbrushed.

Okay, I started face painting 'professionally' this year (May 2011).
This was my FIRST attempt at a cat, June 2011 on myself, kinda winging it:

I have to say I think they are pretty nice for a beginner...obviously my line work and paint consistancy needs work but these things take time. Rome wasn't built in a day and Mona Lisa probably wasnt painted in one either. was she??

Kaci, I like the big muzzle on your pink tiger. I might have to try that with the petal sponge as I'm having a hard time on little ones keeping that white on their lip. I'm pretty new too but you're doing so well. I think you have a good eye for a balanced design so when you've had the practice your stuff will be really awesome.

Here is one I did this weekend at an impromptu party for a friend and her 8 kids. She wanted a tiger with a hairbow, and I used my new split cake to lay the foundation (something I have never done before)...

this is a 5 min design i painted last week end at a fair

i used a 3/4 inch flat brush, and an arty brush cake... for this mark reid inspired tiger.

Love all the tigers and cats! Love the variety, and all the colors used! Here is my take on a simple kitty. My little one really doesn't like me to face paint her, so I tried a design where I wouldn't need to paint her whole face. I love how she make any design look cute :-)

Here's a tiger I did last weekend... still need to work on simplifying...keeping lines further away from the nose and mouth... and making it more effective somehow... maybe adding ears?
