Re: First Tiger
lookin' good! The only thing I'd say about the tiger is that is a LOT of DOTS.... it makes it look a little busy to me. I like the stars, that is a very nice design.
Re: First Tiger
I know, the dots was a little much..I realize it after I took the photo..Thank you..I need all the help I can get...I am excited..this weekend took me to the next level in Painting..I used my new director bar stool, which saved my back..also cute little pastel chairs that my husband painted...got to experience with a whole lot of different paints, glitters..and rainbow cakes..I have more gigs coming up..Alice in wonderland birthday party..Perry, you got any ideas for the Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland?

Re: First Tiger
or glitter glue? ;D
Hey, those are fab for starting out! I'm sure that boy LOVED his tiger! He probabyl is still sleeping in it and won't let momma wash it off! hehe
The most important thing is you 'finally jumped into it and got your feet wet doing a Tiger!' From now on out you will just refine your design as you paint it...saving the bits you really like and altering it until you are doing it just as you picture it in your mind!
Great Job!

Your tiger is great! My first tiger makes me laugh! Yours is much, much better than my feeble first attempt.....

Re: First Tiger
THE FIRST THING I EVER PAINTED WAS A TIGER! It was my nickname when I was a kid. I think you did a FANTASTIC JOB! I love CATS and I want to do them in every color! LOL. At a masquerade party my boyfriend inadvertently (before we were dating and just friends) wore a batman mask, and I wore a little black cat mask. We got coined "batman and catwoman" and it stuck. LOL Think I'll be "catwoman" with a painted face this year! OH HOW FUN!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks very much. You are very kind. That monster is in the illusions and friends book. I put it in with my examples for gigs and now boys and girls all want it!

Re: First Tiger
Hey thanks...I love cats..so one of the first things that I painted was cats/kittys...Now I want to do larger cats..like lions, tigers cheetahs...
Glenda, I was thinking about purchasing the Illusions and friends book..Is it appropriate for beginners too....I wouldn't mind trying that monster...Boys just love it..well monsters...

Re: First Tiger
I applaud you Renee! I really liked the tiger! I'm where you were...uh...I keep looking at tiger FP but everytime I sit down to practice, I paint a butterfly (it's the lover in me ignoring the fighter?). You've inspired me to at least try! That and the Spiderman thing...I don't know if it's the full face thing that has me cowering or if I'm just afraid of the colors. I want...no, I NEED to tackle this and knowing that you, at one time, shared my fear of the tiger helps! I'm going to give it a go!...next week.
