Sophie, I so needed that step by step

No prob. It actually helped me out too. Instead of just diving in, I had to think of it in steps first (so I could post it that way) and I think it actually helped me to accomplish it more quickly. Not to mention that it came out looking very tidy because I had to think about the best order to layer the paints to minimize smears/ bleeds and such (I'm thinking of the NFL one). I think I'm going to go back on all of my designs and try to break them down into step-by-steps to improve my efficiency.

sorry for the hold up ladies and gents... new camera doesn't like uploading photos to my laptop. Should have something up today.

So I discovered a few things doing this.... firstly I should have planned it out first, like geekophile said. Second it's just too easy to go overboard with glitter and bling ... and thirdly don't start out rushing... 5 mins doesn't sound like long so I fully rushed all the line work and then had like 3 mins to keep putting gems and bling on... wish I had taken my taken my time at the beginning.
Needless to say I couldn't pin down my daughter so self face paint it is.
All that said... her is my 5 min Bling and sparkles design.

I used Paradise wild orchid, blended with white, Mehron Gold metalic powder, Paradise white, self stick gems and gold liquid bling... and some glitter..



Jeeze I look so happy....lol

I have a question about the Mehron powder...do you mix that with anything or use it straight from the bottle?

cc - you have to mix it with the Mehron mixing liquid or mix it into a cake of paint with water.
You can't just mix the powder with water - it doesn't work.
I used a snaz gold cake, sprinkled some on top and mixed it with my brush.

Okay, here is the deal...I hate painting my son, I love his dearly but he is so difficult to paint. I am hessitant to post this here but I have to, oh! and I would never show this to anyone else LOL

Used tag pearl white and pearl black with a brush.



Added lines with dfx metallix blue



Added more blue parts, details with dfx black and white and snazaroo red for the button.

Maggie, that is adorable!!! I've been avoiding robots cuz I just overthink the details, but your design is clean and simple and it WORKS!!! Great job!

Thank you guys, It is R2-D2, my son is obsessed with Star Wars. I used a little action figure he has in his room.
I think I need to but a practice head that wiggles, picks it's nose, squints, scratches it's eyes, maybe I'll get better and painting little boys like mine LOL
