Suggestions for FP at a hockey game

My mother (my FP partner) is going to be painting at some hockey games for the Greenville Road Warriors. Their mascot looks like a cross between a viking and a knight (to me anyway). Hockey is not a big thing here in the south, but she has a few basic ideas, hockey pucks & sticks, half blue & half gold faces - the team colors. She really needs some help coming up with some QUICK & EASY designs if anyone has any suggestions. I told her I'd post here and see if anyone had any ideas they'd be willing to share. Pics are greatly appreciated.

Here is their team logo...she has no desire to paint this logo, hence the needing some ideas...

For sporting events, most people want the logo. If she can practice painting this viking/knight dude and get pretty quick at it, she'll do fabulous. If she's not fast at it, just wait until after the first game, and then she WILL be.

You could do a full face design too, with the forehead painted like a helm, and the beard/mustache. I bet that would be popular.

Any regular design in team colors... gold flames with blue outlining, blue/gold eye swirls, etc. Paint the words "Warriors" or something similar to top off the designs.

I've painted at many hockey games

Most of them will want a player's name or number or "go warriors" or something.... if you can figure out a simplified version of the logo or an easy way to paint the front of the helmet on their forehead or maybe do a moustache and goatee like the warrior guy. Some may want that, but around here for every ONE logo I paint, I do at least 5 or 6 names or numbers or "go spits" faces.

Because you'll be doing words more than anything, practice your lettering (on the back of your hand because you'll get little kid faces too).

I don't know much about hockey but many of them get beat up pretty bad during games so how about some black eyes, or a puck sticking out the mouth, or paint teeth but have one missing (LOL!)

The helmet on the forehead and down the cheeks from the logo is what I would do and a mustache, but that's just me.

When I do hockey games I get lots of requests for player names and numbers for both teams in their teams colours. I also do hockey pucks with players numbers in them.

Could you make yourself a stencil of the basic logo & sponge on the gold & blue? That would be quick & easy. You could then embellish it w/ tribals or flames for boys & swirls & tear drops for girls.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! My mom and I really appreciate it. I usually come up with our designs, but I was a little stuck on this one. Like I said, hockey is not a big thing around here. I think not knowing much about it has made my mom nervous. I had to show her a picture of a hockey puck.

But she is feeling better now having all these ideas!
