I am going as a pirate for Halloween, and I was thinking to paint my face. But do pirates wear masks? I did not want to do an eye patch, but I cnanot remember seeing any pirates with any kind of masks.
Any have any suggestions?

Are you a female pirate or a male pirate? If your a male you could always do the classic bandanna and have a cool mustache and stubble maybe do a scar or stitches on your check.

Yeah, do like a Captain Hook type mustache and stubble. I would lay down a skin tone base and paint on the eyebrows as well:

Better yet, take a look at Ashley Pickin's avatar for inspiration!

I'm a female pirate, so I'd rather not go with a mustache/beard combo; hehe
Although I was thinking of painting piercing (like a nose ring)

If you don't want the eye-patch, there's not so much to paint for a girl besides the bandana and maybe a scar on the cheek. Maybe skull and cross-bones on your cheek.

How 'bout a gold tooth cap ? Very Happy

Ashley has the cutest pirate I've seen. I think it is her avatar?

Pirates are usually dirty, so you could add a little dirt. How about referencing some of the female pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean?

Ash paints her girl pirate with a dagger in her mouth - it looks awesome but I don't know how practical it would be.
I would do designs that matches say your hat.
If it's red and gold the do a red and gold eye design....

Paint a parrot on your cheek? Wink
Paint a treasure chest or gold doubloons or something in the theme?...
maybe even a pirate map, say you had it tattooed there so you could find your treasure.....
I would be trying to have some fun with it.

I just went away and had another thought - the snaz site has a skulls contest and some people have entered some really cute girly skulls - they would look so awesome on a girl pirate - let me know if you need a link.

Also I was thinking you could do something like me avatar - but less maybe down one cheek like you have been sword fighting?
