Patch-less Pirate

I'm having fun working on my standard designs. I did this pirate on myself and hardly recognized meself (bad pirate grammar?) My son couldn't look at me when he was trying to carry on a conversation...LOL. I decided I don't like patches so I won't do one unless they ask specifically for it. I got the little skull stencil in the FABA conference goodie bag. I think it's from Snaz.

Did you do the red with starblends?

I'm not a friend of patches either. I just think they look silly when the child opens their eyes and can see "through" the eye patch.

Yup, it's Starblends. I'm starting to like them a lot. Although the white is pretty see through it photographs well...just have to remember to tap off a big so I don't get it all over.

Thanks for this Denise! I modified it with Paradise and used it on some little bitties for a fundraiser I did this afternoon. I painted the CUTEST pirate ever! Of course my little dauber didn't work very well as he kept turning his head, but oh my! I painted about 5 under threes with this patch-less pirate. ThAnK YoU again!!!!

How fun Angela! I love it too. I was so thrilled when I had a little man choose it today. He was so happy when he looked in the mirror and then went to the big mirror and was making faces....I love it when that happens.

I found the stencil in google. It was a stencil from Snaz that I got in a gift bag.

I think I need to get that stencil.

I just had a thought... maybe a brainstorm, or maybe a brainfart....

Why couldn't one take a stencil meant for glitter tattoos, such as a jolly roger like above, adhere it to a piece of stencil mylar and cut out the design with an X-acto knife?..... has this been tried and is already so 20 seconds ago?

I've thought that too but never tried it. I've got a pretty cool pirate one too...but I've already got a stencil. You should try it and report.

haha you are a genius denise..i was thinking the other day how to do the pirate but sans the patch..here is the one and only one i did..this was when i 1st started with my lil bitty Snaz set!

I bet you could find a pirate stencil at Sillyfarm. Their pink power stencils have a ton of options.
