Jake and the Neverland Pirate theme

So, I got a last minute booking and have looked up some pictures, since I had never heard of Jake...

Looks like Jake himself is easy - red bandana and eyebrows, so I thought I would offer his parrot. My first try on myself...am looking for feedback!

Very cute, I think I would place it differently though, maybe just a cheeky design because most boys squirm when you get near the eyes! May even be cute on the neck to give the illusion of the parrot on the shoulder? Good job! I also recommend skull and crossbones for a pirate theme and they have a crocodile on the show...my 4yr old boy is a fan.

Love the parrot...good job, but I agree about changing the placement. Little boys are the worse to paint around the eyes
I always try to come up with at least two or three theme designs and seriously never get to use them. Kids still want the butterfly and spiderman!

I agree that most boys are squirmy with painting around the eyes...just thought I would try that placement to see if I could do it. The mother actually asked me to have something from Jake that I could do on the birthday boy if he wanted.

I like the idea of painting on the side of the face/neck area...wish I knew how old the boy was...most are too squirmy for even that! But we'll see what happens. I think I like the bird design anyway - maybe for older kids...I'll keep working on it.

Thanks Valerie, Belle, Sandy and Erica! I redid the parrot and put it on the side of my face for the show...the kids and the mom liked it, but what did the birthday boy ask for? You guessed it! Spidey!

Oh well, at least I have a pirate parrot to add to my board!

Very nice design and well done! It must be difficult when you paint your own face with one eye closed.
