Me choppy the hair!

So I chopped off my hair-about 8 inches. It is always so scary. I didn't like it for the first couple of days, but I am starting to like it much more. Def. cooler and easier to do.

I like it!!

Must be something in the air. Lately, I've decided to stop dyeing my hair and embrace the gray. I just wasn't sure I wanted to wait the time it would take to grow it out, so, on a whim, I stopped by a local salon and had her shave it off. So, now I'm sporting a new 3/8" do! Totally freeing! And a LOT cooler!

....so I'm old and mine's short...and probably alway will be! If I can't blow dry it in lass than 5 minutes it's TOO LONG!

I'm Jelous of anyone that can cut off all their hair! Mine is my security blanket, everytime I cut it up to my shoulders I feel like someone has taken my sexy power away- as stupid as that sounds- I have given up colouring it though - last time the purple lasted all of 2 weeks and I paid nearly $300 for it!
I just put colored hair extensions in when I'm doing a kids party - they love my rainbow hair - and I can look normal when the occasion calls for it. Although I do miss my purple hair!

I joined you in the hair chopping today. It's short & I love it! The thought of doing a 12 hour outdoor gig in FL heat was just too much & I went running to the hair dresser!

Looks great Metina! I've had a pixie haircut for the past 2 years and I LOVE it...I cut my hair initially because I was tired of being mistaken for younger but the great thing about it is that it's so low maintenance!

UPDATE: somewhat on a whim yesterday after work I got all my hair chopped off and i LOVE it! next week I am going back and having my girl Candi dye it blonde! (she is amazing, check out her work at https://www.facebook.com/salonsugarphiladelphia) Here's the result!

thanks lyn, that is my natural color but i want to try something new...i figure i can always dye it dark again if i don't like the blonde.

Metina, I love it! I always had mine short like Dana's or some punk style when I was in high school and it was fantastically low maintenance.

I've been working my way back to a shorter style, trying to ease my husband into it more than myself, but it's hard. In the past year, I've lost about 8 inches with 3 haircuts.

I'm so jealous!!
