Using Glitter In Hair

When the weekend comes around I want to add glitter to my do for fun but I find it tends to rain glitter around me. Is there any product that can make it stick better or do I just have to deal with it? I am using a dry cosmetic glitter that I sprinkle with a brush in my hair.

I haven't tried either, but you could either use hairspray straight after the glitter goes on, or maybe try mixing the glitter with hairgel??

May be try glitter hair spray?

gel or hairspray first and then the glitter.

My 3 year old has to have a little gel in her hair while her fringe is growing out. Her pot of gel has a little holographic silver and gold in it- really not too much. After we use it on the hair, and we dont uses too much. we just poof a little of whatever colour she feels like or matches what she is wearing.

Cool deal! Will check that out! I do use hairspray but will check around to see If I can find some that has glitter in it.. Will look also for glitter gel. Thanks everyone!

Mix it with gel is another way

Wal-Mart carries the glitter hair spray in the party section..where you get balloons and goodie bag stuff for birthday parties.

I use glitter A LOT for theatre (lots of fairies!) I spray with hairspray (I always use Finesse Unscented aerosols), apply glitter, spray again. Holds very well.

How I apply the glitter varies on the effect wanted... stripes I usually use a poofer bottle with a wider opening to pour it where I want it, over sparkle poof or sprinkle, etc.

I hate the glitter sprays as they get everywhere and stick.
