Re: Thinking of adding Butterfly/ fairy wings...
i never got to wear them, the lady I work for at the REnnisannce Fest. was afraid they'd knock her wares off shelves despite me making them to almost sit flush along my back like folded up. I'll be digging out my costumes soon to do repairs and invantory and I'll snap a picture
I made the goldish ones with cellophane wrapping paper and a heat gun and shrunk them over the frame and they make a nice thonk thonk sound when you flick them
I did paint the green ones and it was messy! I may try dying some next time, not many dyes stick to synthetic fabric.

I have never tried spray paint, but I think it would work. Many people think I airbrush, and suggest that it would go faster if I did, but I am not investing in the equipment just to find out.

Years ago I bought white angel wings and spray painted it gold for fairy wings and it worked

I found a video online for carnivale costumes, hope it helps
I thought it would be great for my niece's next birthday so I saved it. If seem really simple and no need to attach anything for arm holes. It would be easy to modify and decorate. And I love anything that you can make with stuff already around the house. the video is in Italian but the video is clear enough that you really don't need to understand what she is saying!

I really like this video, the process is simplified even more, and would be great for small wings. I really want some for me at least maybe 4, one for each season, I am gonna have to try and do it the other way

Do you make them in mini baby sizes? My daughter's 1st birthday is coming up and those would be adorable on her.
I met a lady at my last party who makes these really beautiful tulle skirts. She folds the tull over to create a thick puffy layer and puts holographic shaped confetti in between the layers. I asked her to contact me about trading services ...I hope she actually calls me
I have done some itty bitty sized yes
