Re: Your setup
Ok I finally got pics of my set up....and short of pulling everything out of the white case, my table & chair, water buckets.......etc. This is pretty much everything lol .... I think?
And believe it or not...most of you probably wont.... lolol Everything cases and all................ All of it fits in my green polka dot rolling shoppers tote.
Now that's what I call creative packing.....lolol My table, chair, signs, stands are all transported utilizing a really good & sturdy wheeled luggage rack.
Gotta make life easy where ya can.

@ Aprilmoonflower
It really was a great find. When I bought it on sale for 14.99 I thought to myself there is noooooooo way that stuff is going to fit in there. But to my surprise, and an awesome surprise at that. Can't completely zip it closed, but hey that's the least of my worries..... lol

Re: Your setup
I thought it'd be fun to resurrect this old thread...I'm sure people's setup has changed...and I wanted an excuse to share mine .
I'm open to suggestions if anyone see's something I could change for the better. The only things I've changed since I took the pics is my menu board, I just finished overhauling it yesterday.

Fat Max Setup and Tattoo Storage
I took some pictures of my Fat Max loaded up so that I could tuck them in when UPS picks him up for return so I thought I'd share them.
I used to have my paints stacked up in the first two slots in the middle so putting them in the scrapbook cases freed up a lot of space so now I have room for my glitter tattoo stuff. I used to have my one-strokes in the small tray with the handle and now I've put my extra potted glitters there....visions of Mark Reid lips that I haven't tried yet.
There is one little thing that might be helpful to those that use Liquid Bling. I have a little snap lid water tight container that my husband's diabetic test strips come in. It's great for putting the tips in at the end of the gig and spraying water in and shaking up. Now my tips are always ready to go and don't clog.
The container for my tattoo stencils is just a large accordion file. It's kind of cool because it has a little file set underneath for tiny stencils and a space for extra business cards or large lots of stencils.

Re: Your setup
Psalmbrook - which brush holder are you using? I decided I must have one of those a while back and i've been price shopping them for a while...but looking to find the one that hold the most brushes
Re: Your setup
Here is my set up for the festival I do every year, on the left side is the crafts I make and I do face painting and airbrush tattoos on the right. How it has gone the last couple of years I might not bring my crafts I have been making my money just face painting. You cant see it but I have a sign I make out of foam core with the prices on it. This was befor I got my DFX kits I was just using the snaz I bought at michaels.

Psalmbook wrote:My setup. This does not include my Glitter Tattoo or balloon twisting stuff. My table is getting smaller(or is it my supplies are getting bigger?
It all fits in a metal briefcase... except the chair & table...
I love these little water buckets. They are perfect for bringing water & easy to clean out. For indoor events I carry 2, one to dump my old coffee water(not as big a problem now that I've learned to keep it cleaner) & one for my clean water.
Right now I don't have a display board. I only want to put my work on it, so it's in the making.

The evolution of a setup... The above setup was before I had all my awesome paints.. LOL!
I discovered the water buckets leaked horribly, so now I keep fresh water in a 1 gallon screw top Zepherhills bottle & use the buckets for old water. The buckets NEVER go in my kit once there's water in them. I had a horrible dirty water spill that ruined a bunch of my paint... melted away & so I changed how I do things.
Here's my setup now:

In the 1st setup from several years ago I used the foam gecko & a folding brush holder (I got both from Silly Farm).
Now I use the Ice Tube Tray (it's for making ice cubes for water bottles). It can be found seasonally in the spring/summer at Walmart. They are usually around $4 & in the are where decorative picnic supplies are sold.
Re: Your setup
You can also find the ice tube trays year round at REI for $5, that's where I got mine. They are so awesome!
Re: Your setup
For this Canadian... What's REI?

Re: Your setup
Recreation Equipment Inc. It's a sporting goods co-op store. Usually way too expensive for my taste, except for the ice tube trays .
