My lion designs are pukey, and I can't find any designs for inspiration. It's a shame because I paint mostly by request and that's a fairly common one.

Makes me shake in my boots when the little men come up to my chair because I just know one of them is going to want a damn lion.  Crying or Very sad

Please share your designs or inspiration photos! I've got lion's block!

I've never been asked to paint a lion. Do you list lions on your display? When I'm asked for a design that would take too long or a design with which I am not comfortable painting, I refer to my display and ask that they choose something listed.

Really?! That's such a common one for me. I usually try to gear them towards a tiger which they go for, but it can't hurt to add more animals to my repertoire.

I paint by request at smaller private events (which is all I'm doing at the moment) so I don't have a display yet. I'm very comfortable painting by request but...GRR, LIONS. It's just one of those weird things.

This is very similar to my lion, however I prefer a sandier colour, its snazaroo beige I think... which creates less of a contrast between the white (which I like) I also make it a little smaller on the face because I find that always makes it cuter!

I would attach a photo but my old laptop has died... with all my pictures on it Evil or Very Mad

laura-lou, be sure to have someone try to recover your photos, etc from the hard drive, if it's not damaged.

i was able to have that done when a laptop died years ago.

I second that, Laura-Lou. Sometimes it's fairly easy to recover photos and other data depending on why/how your laptop died.

And thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I think I have an idea in my head now for a simple lion design that wiggly little boys will sit for.

Of course now I'll probably never get another lion request again...because that's life!
