The Lion Story
This is my lion. Happy and infantile.
I was painting the neighborhood kids tonight and this 10yr old comes up and says -lion please! a little one on his hand. I whip it out rather quickly and say do you like it? He looks down and goes- "what were you thinking?!"
His little brother who was a black cat at this point cracks up and his older sister starts giggling.
I had painted a lion alright, but the lion I paint on two year olds. The happy faced lion with a teddybear type face anda heart shaped pawprint beside it. -sigh- yes, with glitter.
So I grabbed his other hand, laughed it off and painted a kickbooty mean looking lion, claws and fierce eyebrows. He went "YEA! Much better!" I couldnt even take a photo we were all laughing so hard. He just kept putting his hands together and looking at each then shaking with laughter. least hes a good sport
Do you ever get messed up and paint one version of something when you meant to paint another?

Re: The Lion Story
Haha, that's too funny!! Too bad you didn't get a pic, I'd love to have seen your kickbooty mean looking lion!!!!!!
I did a dragon on a little boy's arm a couple weeks ago and he seemed disappointed but didn't say too much - I had done it in black with some tribals around it, I thought it was pretty cool, kinda looked like a tattoo. He came back last week and said he wanted a dragon just like he got the week before and his mother said something about how he had just loved it so much. But this time he piped up and said - "But can you do it in green this time? Dragons are green!!"
Similar story to yours but in reverse - he had wanted a more cartoon-y one, and I had done a tough guy one!
