For parties do you give receipts or not?

yes

Yep. I just use a simple invoice template that shows the bill and that they've paid in full. I send it to them via email, so we don't have to interrupt the party to talk business.

It's just a good idea on several fronts. =)

yup. As well as my emailed invoice i also give a receipt to the hostess/host from a receipt book I keep in my kit. But for the corporate gigs i just leave it at the emailed invoice.

I send invoices for all corporate gigs. For family parties, no receipt. No one has ever asked me for one either. I have been fp part time for over 25 years and full time for 7.
