Buying Tag Pallet w/ Intention of Splitting

I'm purchasing a Tag Split Cake Pallet in pearl with the intention of splitting the colors to make my own rainbow cakes. I've heard terrible things about Tag black and white and the pallet doesn't come with those anyway, so, which black and white would you recommend? Wolfe is probably the obvious choice, however, I'm not familiar with their metallic colors (not even sure if Wolfe makes a metallic black) and I don't think I want to use regular Wolfe black in a rainbow because of the staining, or should I reconsider that? So since I have a choice of brands, what brand and finish (regular or pearl/metallic) would you use for black and white in a rainbow cake? Thanks! Laura.

G have a really nice Pearl White and they also have a pearl Black. I like them both.

Thanks, after some research I've decided it can't hurt to try them both.

I use the TAG pearl black and i really like the look of it, and ive had no problem with it.
