Show and Tell #6 Nov - December 2013

My first attempt at roses - Not too bad, I think. and some holiday designs inspired by the Christmas thread. I painted my kids (including my 18 month old who would hold still to be painted but not photographed!) for our church christmas party. I got asked many times where the face painting booth was. I would smile and hand them a card! I was pretty happy.

Your turkey's are nice, your first attempt at roses are beautiful and your Autumn leaves are just gorgeous.

Hi guys! I'm new to this thread... I just got my practice head! super excited, so here are a few designs I did last night. They're not perfect yet, but I had my little dude (he'll be 3 on Wed) tugging on my arm half the time haha. I swear one of these days I should video tape myself trying to paint. Anyway, the Jack Skellington is from a LJY tutorial (please forgive the horrendous-ness of my spider attempt haha), and the butterfly is my own design

I just went through my first challenge! Not a realistic "face" paint design but I  guess you could take details from it. Went a little crazy with white dots. who doesn't like white dots?

Yvonne, your stuff looks great! I like the holiday butterfly. I'm jealous of your practice head too. I have a four year old and an 18 month old, so I sympathize with your troubles. Lol.

Alice in Wuppieland is amazing! Such a creative idea. Thank you jnzfoo, I lucked out with her. I have a friend who took cosmetology and was more than happy to get her out of her closet.

oh snap, that knight looked REAL!!!!lol...i'm looking at the cheeks like "where's the paint!"

Here's another practice I did.  Then went outside and pulled a Home Alone down the icy steps.     I hit my head hard enough to get a gumball sized goose egg and was wandering around the house wondering what the ER doctors would think of my painting if I had to go in for a concussion!  --I'm okay, put ice on it, but wow still hurts.  

Beautiful butterfly! Sorry about your goose egg though.

Thanks you too! I didn't think it would flow so easily from me! I was impressed with the eye patch myself ^_^ Every day I get more confident with the paint and techniques and I look forward with more anticipation to do my first gig

Tongodiva nice birds, both of them.

Here is a version of my Wubbies inspired by L!izze and her beautiful Wubbies. Then I did this Lizard today from Denise Cold. I love this lizard and must get it right. My lines around his mouth is not straight plus I need to work on the tongue and the eyes. A far cry from Denise's lizard but I like it.

Wubbies make me smile. I'm still in practice stage as well, I have a birthday party tomorrow...my first one and it's for a good friend but I'm so excited and terrified!! I don't think I've practiced enough and I'm not sure I'm good or fast enough yet. Hopefully it isn't a total failure. I'll try and get pictures and post some pics.
