Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I use Wolfe White, and ive never had a problem with it, except when my brush or sponge was too wet.

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
lately i've been preferring my paradise white for line work...but snaz white is good for bases.
what exactly are you trying to do with it?
i like it best for bases because it doesn't leave kids complaining about their skin feeling tight after it dries.

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
Wolfe is NOT a good base paint.
You haven't explained how you are applying it. We can't really tell you what is wrong if we don't know what you are doing.
The biggest problem people have is too much water. And technique. Snaz white is my go to white base paint.

I really like the coverage of DiamondFX regular white the best so far (in comparison to Wolfe and Tag), but admittedly have yet to try the Snaz white.

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I like Wolfe as a base paint, Shannon. It works fine for me--but I like your work. I suppose it's a 'to each his own"...in the cold I will sometimes switch to Paradise, which dries faster...
Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I have to admit it was the "old" Wolfe that I tried as a base on myself and it was bloody horrible to wear. But I haven't tried it since they changed the formula to remove the beeswax. But I still don't use it, or DFX, for a base - I find it horribly uncomfortable - they are extremely drying IMO.
For applying Snaz if it is smearing try applying with a tapping motion with the sponge, don't pull the sponge across the skin.

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I use Snazaroo white for bases (like in Spiderman eyes or Kitty) because it covers really well (it's very soft). I apply it dabbing with a sponge (not too wet). But I use Wolfe white for linework, as Snaz is too "creamy"

I also bounce tap the white.
For something like hello kitty white, I will smear the white, then tap over a second time for even coverage.

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I've just switched to Tag Pearl White for many of my bases - I find it richer and it gets better smoothness. Still have to tap the sponge of course!

Re: snazaroo trouble with white paint
I love paradise white for bases, but snaz is good too, I think all the waxy brands stink for bases and feel stiff, but that's personal opinion.
