Emotional week. Sorting it out.

So I have been meaning to post an update for awhile. Things have just been busy. I tried to get mike to do it for me but he insists that this is my thread to clear myself. It does please me to see that he is enjoying the forum and visits frequently. The love and support he has found has been good for him and being able to support others and offer insights has given him a great sense of value. He has been in the entertainment industry longer than many of us have been alive making his brain a wonderful resource! I would be lost in keeping the business going without him.

Ok now on to the update.

Mike is doing well on his recovery. He is getting around much better and i am having a hard time trying to get him to take it easy. He recently had some testing done to check his progress. The results came back a little of both good and bad. The good news is his heart is showing improvement and is beating instead of twitching. So in that the surgery is a success. The bad news is his heart is only at 30%. Obviously this is a big improvement from the 10% when he had the surgery, but it is also where his heart was when we were told he needed the surgery to begin with. But it has only been 2 months. Though it has been a long 2 months. We are unsure of what this is to mean yet. The doctor wants to wait awhile and see if he continues to improve before discussing anything further. So now we play the waiting game.

This is good news! Best of luck to all of you going forward. You guys have been through so much and are stronger because of it. Very inspiring to read of your love and dedication to each other and your family. You guys deserve some really wonderful things and I believe they will come to you.

As you rightly stated, 30% is a good improvement on 10%.  Give it time, look after each other, and I hope that percentage keeps rising.

Yes it has been two long months, and you had darn rough weather to go through. The clouds are still there and from pouring rain, they're just drizzling, but still making you cold and wet sometimes.
There's only one solution: dance in the rain!
Hold on to eachother, and dance!
It won't make the rain stop, it won't make the clouds disappear, but it'll keep you warm, and feeling loved.
And above that all.... Nobody can dance in the rain, without laughing!

What else is there to say than already is said?
Keep the spirits up, 30 is always better than 10, and keep believing it will improve to more
/higher percentage!

You both are so strong together, you can make it !
Just be aware of the signs the body gives and take a rest when needed. Don't overdo it!

Taking a moment to reflect on the last year. Looking back on how far we have come. Thank you all for being here for us when we needed you.

Today we preformed the same event from last year. The only one michael performed at while waiting for his surgery. The one that was expected to be his last. He has made it a year past his life expectancy. His list of health issues continues to grow. His heart is still at 30 percent. But he is still here. He still can't sleep in a bed, but he teaches our daughter to bake bread, and fish, and garden. He has brain damage from the surgery, but continues to leave people astounded and speechless and mind blown at every performance. It's who he is. We stand here today, still struggling. Still fighting. Side by side. Together.
