Insurance - great, low cost and wonderful coverage!

So, I know a lot of people are about to renew with Specialty Insurance which is great for many. I just found another company that has wonderful prices and even better coverage. It is Bomba Insurance out of California. They cover damage, theft, fire, medical and even loss of income due to fire or what not (cost of kit replacement as well). I am about to write a policy with them and I encourage everyone to at least call and get a quote. Make sure you mention my name to get a discounted rate. Ken was very nice, professional and really understands the industry. Also covers family members or volunteers if you need (no additional charge too!).

I read the site but it seems to only cover injury if occurred on your property. Does the policy you are writing conver if people are injured or damage done out on the job?

Yes it does cover on the job injury (and property damage on the job like if you break a vase), there wasn't much on the website but if you talk to him directly he will email you about the policy and tell you about it.

I have been looking at a couple agencies. I will def give him a call soon.

They offer 3,000,00.00 liability and they are only $99.00 per year covers fairs, carnivals and home parties. Seems too good to be true. Anyone have first hand knowledge?

One question, checked the site & it seems to top out at 50,000--I have corporate clients that insist on 1.5 mil. (Have you run into this?)

Also, they do not cover "foreign" stuff, which is most of my kit--is that place of manufacture, or place of purchase.

(Just thought I would ask here & save the poor guy 20 million questions from us all...)

I talked to him, they start at 300K -600K for $150.oo (depends on your zip code) they cover up to 10 people working for your business, they have a compensation if you can't work, they cover your house if you have a lost related to the business, and your kit (5k) if you want to rise your coverage could be up to 1 million - 2 million and that cost around $300 dollars -again depend on you zip code-, he told me the big difference with the clowns of US insurance is they insure a person and you are under a global umbrella, he insures your business.

I am going to sign with the minimum coverage, if I get a gig that wants more coverage I can upgrade.

My name is Luz, No is not $99, actually for me is a little more expensive than speciality. Their price start at $150.oo for business liability coverage of $300.000 they only have up to $1.000.000.oo coverage for $60 dollars more.

The big difference is for the price I pay it covers up to 10 people working for me, now I always have a helper and my husband they will be cover too.

Prices change depends on your zip code that is way you need to call him and ask for a quote.

My quote was 290 and that was discounted and i work alone (quote from the bomba insurance).

In your case you need to check what is more important for you, Speciality is $220.00 and the coverage is $3.000.000, I have heard that some festivals ask for that amount of coverage, I have never been ask for that, but I always have been worry about the people who works with me that's why I got mine and it was $300.00.

LorrinWagner, I called today and was quoted at almost $300. When I included his broker fee, it was over $300 for the year. :/

Looks like Specialty requires a separate insurance for vendors - Can anyone recommend an insurance that covers both private parties AND vendors at an affordable price. I too am skeptical of the bodyworks insurance for $99.
