My New Contract
I finally built my own contract, what do you think? http://www.pdfescape.com/shared/?68E525F61EF733449A885B33DB0098698AD47BE597C16AEB any tips or corrections?

Re: My New Contract
Maybe put your "Terms and Conditions" in bullet points and/or bigger type? It's kind of hard to read.

There's a portion that says "If the artist sees there are more guests in line then the scheduled time permits...". You should use the word "than" not "then". Only typo I've picked up on.

Re: My New Contract
Looks good. I did notice the following updates to the terms and conditions:
- In the linked version, it looks like a space is missing between "12" and "first"
- I recommend changing "FDA approved ..." to "FDA compliant ..." since the FDA doesn't really approve products, just ingredients.

Re: My New Contract
You do need to change the wording of the FDA approved comment, and might want to remove it totally unless you always paint in a way that is FDA complaint only because IF there was an issue later, it could come back to haunt you.
And, I really could not read all the small print. So can't comment other than to say, bullet that and make it as big as the rest of the print on the page. otherwise it COULD kind of look like you're trying to hide something.

Re: My New Contract
The fine print is actually pretty large when opened up...thanks for the tips guys! i will definitely make the adjustments. Maybe just state that all my paints and glitters, etc. are cosmetic grade and safe for skin?
Re: My New Contract
Oh and I would put in an "or else" term.... meaning.... for instance.... if it is 90 degrees, and they refuse to get fans or inside or whatever- what happens? You leave and get paid anyway? They get to poke at you with sticks? You take your toys and leave?
In terms of protecting yourself, I would pretty much leave out the whole FDA reference. That's in your promo and advertising, but you put it in a contract and now it becomes a claim that could be used or disputed.
Mainly focus on what you will do, the details, what you need them to provide, and what they are responsble for in the event that they don't provide what they promise, cancel in a certain time period, fail to pay on time, etc...

Ok, I made a few adjustments...the text looks small in the terms and conditions but it is really quite big when it is opened. This is just the easiest way I know to share it. http://www.pdfescape.com/shared/?4D63044AF4E6B79321595046A9BEBCC79ECFDE63D627A936
Re: My New Contract
Erica -
I'd still space it out with bullet points rather than one giant paragraph...it's too hard to read (even when it is bigger).
