Contract for parties
Do you all have the customer sign a contract? If so, would you mind sharing what you have?
Re: Contract for parties
I don't for parties... too many of them are quite last minute and I sometimes even have trouble asking for a deposit. I literally had some last spring that booked me Thursday for a party on Saturday... and not just one of those.
I do ask for a $20 deposit usually though. Their date is not held for them until I get it and it is non-refundable should they cancel with less than 2 weeks notice. This just covers me in case they cancel and I can't fill the date with something else in that time frame.

I do have the client (parent) sign an agreement and supply a deposit for parties. Are you still interested in seeing one? I am not saying mine is the best but it works for me.
