Show your Tent / Outdoor Event setups

I am constantly working on mine. Here is one of our more recent photos of the set up… I still feel like it just needs something else (maybe it just needs to be full of people getting their faces painted )

Great ideas. I am waiting for a pic of our set-up, taken recently & will post. Last w/e, we had to take down, AGAIN, the tarp we bought to zip-tie to the back of my 10x10 ez up canopy. the gusty wind turned it into a sail! Good thing I had wgts on the legs! Makes me think it's not a good idea to buy sidewalls. Since I'll need a white 10x10 to work for my town now....not sure what to do.
Luckily. my family gave me an A-frame for Christmas. I put a single foam core board on each side: one each for boys & girls pictures. It's heavy enough not to move when windy.

Tomorrow I will be doing my 1st full set up since starting last Fall.... I must say I am freaking out.... I did a test run and took for ever, I may try one more time later to work out the kinks.... I have a Banner that is huge..oops, so I have to run it along the back of a 10x10 EZ up, any info on the best way to do this quickly

Here is what i am working on...
I need to paint roses on the zebra skirting.... and go buy 3 more corner curtains.
When i get everything done ...i will post again..
someone did take a picture of me painting at a festival..but you can't really see the set up...
so when i get done and next time I set up... i will take pictures...

This is the front of the awning/tent. I did not have much room. So crowd waiting was all in front!. Had a tape down on the ground ...on not to cross in MY zone...lol

Are you hired by the park. or do you just set up? and do you have to get permission to set up. Do you go to the park daily or just so many days a week? 
Is that a wagon you are sitting things on? and it folds up?

I've been doing this park for many years.  I have an exclusive permit.  It's a huge county park with a museum, visitor center, tram rides, a marina, a beautiful butterfly garden, 7 miles of nooks and crannies with fishing and picnic areas, a huge dog park, adjacent restaurants, a skate park, lots of pavilions... and the playground - which is where I paint at.  My trade for this awesome opportunity is to paint free for two days in early June and then I am allowed to be there free - and charge PPF - for the remainder of the season.

My entire mobile set up fits into that wagon.  I don't have to lug it, though, because I am allowed to put on my four-way flashers and drive right up to my spot.    The wagon is collapsible and I made a bi-fold table top for it out of two pieces of thin plywood and red duct tape... that way, even the table top folds up and fits into the wagon.

wow ... what a great deal. Don't have that here! live in a very small community! Looks great !!!!

This was from the first day of shooting for the mini documentary they are making about me.  Too bad this wasn't filmed 20 years ago when I didn't need to lose a gazillion pounds - lol!!!

lol.. i think i saw it. was it the one where you said they got your best side? lol. I bet you !!!!! way back when!!!!! you thought you were fat or heavy or needed to loose weight then too!!!! i so wasted my youth ..thinking i was fat.. i so was NOT... oh to have it back. now that i quit smoking 7 years ago... and have 7 years on me... now i know what fat it!!!! i have gained at least 35 to 40 lbs...and can't getit off... i need to move more... a lot more!!!! lol.. how far are you from NYNY?

My first tent setup of the year....I'm not happy with it.  Needs some work.  Not sure about the tablecloth on the front table.  Maybe too busy? It was also very windy that day so had to leave some hanging stuff in the car.  The gold A board has multiple mirrors on the back and for smaller gigs I just use that one. 

Table clothes can never be too busy! lol. looks good!

Little friends, you upload your picture to photobucket, then ask for the link (it's the second button I think, with the 'chain'). Click the link you want, either the picture of thumbnail one. It'll say 'saved to clipboard' or something like that.
You go to the forum, open your post and then paste the link.
All done!

I looooove the tablecloth! It's so colourful and even looks a bit van Gogh-ish to me! Keep it shadowdrawing!

okay i sat up Saturday. i stll want to paint some roses on the zebra and still work on the hanging of the picture examples... things like that..but think i pretty much have it!
The suitcase/makeup table does have legs ...but ... it was on the grass/ground and didn't want to mess with the legs ...so i just sat it on a table!

Your set up looks so cool, but I LOVE your face, painted to match your clothes. I usually wear solid purple, except for holidays..but now, you've got me thinking! Great idea!

I have a question about the signage.. Sometimes I am subbed out by a bigger company to to face painting..usually glitter tattoos are offered. I sometimes am able to bring a balloon artist and henna artist, but sometimes not. We all have different business names, so how would you advertise your business on your tent with out making a permanent statement? Would you just put Face Painting/glitter tattoos and then use temporary signage for the other services offered?

Here's a full set up I was finally able to do today at a birthday party:) First one for me!
