Glitter Tattoo Pricing Empty Glitter Tattoo Pricing

Post by CreativeArtFX Wed Nov 07, 2012 12:22 pm

Hi everyone,
We recently invested in a bunch of glitter tattoo stuff...just curious as to what everyone else charges for them? We figured out the actual cost to us per stencil with glue and glitter is around a dollar, sometimes a little more or less depending on the size of the design. For fairs/festivals we were thinking of charging $5 for small, $8 for large, but have tossed around so many ideas I just don't know what to do now. confused Any advice or experience you have on this would be appreciated!

3,5,7 is what I do. 3 are the teensey ones....If I added in really big, I would up it--but they never moved for me, so I just slapped them on someone for promo...

Dear CreativeArtFX:
If you post under your Profile your location, maybe someone in your area can tell you the local pricing structure.

thanks anniel. we were thinking $5 (normal size) and $8 (large ones). we dont have any really tiny ones, and the big ones we have are very big! (4x4 or 2x4 with a big area for the glue to fill). but I didn't know if that was too much. I'm interested to see if everyone's prices are similar so we can compare!!

the largest ones that I have are the arm bands and that flaming skull one... I charge $5 for any of them... If I were doing the big wings on someone's back or something, I'd charge more, but I feel like $5 is enough for the ones I have. There is a larger materials cost to them than face painting, but not much in the skill department really.

We have some small-ish ones from GBA (stencil sets 1 & 2), but we ordered a ton of new stencils from Faketoos recently. We like his a lot better, but they tend to have a bigger area to cover with glue and glitter, sometimes double or triple the area of some of the GBA ones, which is why we were thinking $8 on some of those. And you're right Perry, they don't require much skill! That makes it easier to bring a helper along with us now, so we can just focus on face paint and have someone designated to do glitter tattoos.

I'm in Florida and do a lot of small farmers market kind of events. I charge 5$/7$ for the regular size and then the mediums. The mediums are a bigger butterfly, dragon, and gecko. They are my best sellers. Anything like arm bands or extra large designs like shoulder size, I charge 10$ or 11$.

wow, thats great information! What would you charge for the simpler ones, like stars/hearts? Maybe they're not so simple but as a face painter I always think BIG! LOL

Thank you for sharing

Mini ones are okay, but I just budget myself more I guess. Glitter tattoos are not super popular yet for this area. But I get my stencils at www.faketoos.com he's great for some of the more elaborate designs. He also does custom stencils as well.

And yes I think 3/5/7 is perfect pricing, and most of my events are speciality stencils(hence charging a little more) but minis can be great for a more generic spread. Let me know if you get some popular stencils picked out! Very Happy
