My first festival
Hi, all!
I finally did my first Glitter Tattoo event! It was a neighborhood festival this past Sunday (10/28) and it went very well. Didn't bring in much profit at all : ( but I made back my vendor fee and my cash bank, so I ended up in the black. I thought I'd have more kids, but because it was a smaller, neighborhood fair I had far less than I expected. Ended up doing (with my sister's help) about 30 kids over a 6 hour period. The first hour or so, kids passed them up. Many didn't even know what Glitter Tattoos were so that was half the battle. But once we got going, we kept up a pretty good pace and were actually the very last booth to shut down! So, I guess I'm proud of just getting this first one under my belt Thanks to all of you for your advice!! Now, more promotion and "on to the next!" Still working on my website too! Lots to do, but thanks again. I love this forum!!
Thanks,
Y-Von

Great start - I'm sure things will go on the up-and-up for you from now on. :-) Glad you're feeling justifiably good about it. x

Great for you! Be sure your signage attracts people and shows them in a quick and simple way what you're offering, so folks passing by know what you're doing at your booth, and you'll triple or quadruple your line at your next festival and make a profit!!! )
Also, I usually have a tattoo (or two or three) on my own arms for people to see.
