Happy Halloween! Here are my little zombies that I made up for a party. I used Shannon's idea about dryer sheets for some of the wounds. Thanks, Shannon!

Thanks, Angela. Shannon has it posted on her blog. I first saw it about a year ago, and decided to try it out this time!

Hair, oiled with a little olive oil and then dusted with some baby powder or corn starch looks dead and disgusting.

To take the oil OFF:
Put shampoo on your dry, oily hair. Leave it to sit in your hair for 10 minutes. THEN get it wet and wash it out.

Happy Painting!

They look awesome!

I love the oil/baby powder tip & I'll have to look up the dryer sheet tip on Shannon's blog as well. I have a couple of zombie appointments for Halloween...

Shannon, your gore is amazing! Do you think I could use the dryer sheets and just use face paints (not latex) with it? Has anyone tried it with just face paints? Am doing my boyfriend as a zombie tomorrow, was going to use the toilet paper, but will use the dryer sheets instead, but want to just face paint, no latex. Thanks for any tips

I've never tried just face paint on used dryer sheets. You should test it to see if it holds the paint. I'm going my daughter's face up for her social tonight, so I offered her to try the olive oil for her hair. She wants to do it, so we'll see how that turns out!

Yes, it worked!!! Just face paint on glued dryer sheets. First I tried glueing the dryer sheets on, before painting, with gluestick. It stuck well, but the second te face paint hit it, they came off. Then I tried glueing them on with Aileens tacky glue (figured people get this or elmers glue all over their hands when doing crafts and it never hurt anyone). That REALLY stuck the dryer sheet, don't even try to pull it off, but when the face paint hit it, it didn't peel right off like with the gluestick. However, when I went to actually WASH it off with more water than is in face paint, then it slid right off my skin easily. I think tomorrow, when I do my friend's face, I'll water down Aileens just a bit and use that. If my face comes out well (it's my first zombie face), then I'll post it this weekend. I know it's not going to look like a latex "Shannon face", lol, but just trying to face piant a zombie face while giving it a LITTLE something extra! BTW...funny...I saw Shannons oatmeal scabs and thought I'd make a few and let them dry out for tomorrow....warning....don't use "Quik" oats, hahaha, it all turned to mush in two seconds, lol

She won third place at her school social with this. I brought it down her neck and put the oil in her hair for this one.
