License in Nevada

OMG its all too confusing...1) need a business license for the city of Henderson.. (makes sense), another license to travel 6 miles and go into Las Vegas( city license),
travel another 20 miles and another license for North Las Vegas. On top of that we need a Nevada State lincense...Yikes and there are more.....Is this normal where your from?

No... no business license required at all where I live... but from my personal experience of living in Vegas for 5 years; EVERYTHING is strictly regulated... which they have to considering the gazillions of people flowing in and out.

I am in Vegas too Vegas Mom. I am planning on doing my licensing at the beginning of the year. I didn't know that about having to have different licenses for NLV & Hend. That sucks!!

Okay I'm legit in the State of Nevada!! LOL. Just in case anyone else from Las Vegas wants to know...Its 200.00 a year for your state license and districts may vary but Henderson is 65. and 25.00 renewal every 6 months! You have to have the State to get any other license. They do it online and you can be licensed with in 10 minutes..

Do you mind explaining why, All I need to carry is a state licence for az not a city because its not a taxable service, or something like that. Why do you require one for each city?

I think its each areas way of grabbing money is all, since we don't have a state income tax here, they grab from car registrations and fees... Thats all.

Thanks for your info, vegas mom. I recently moved to Henderson and have a gig at my sister's place of work. I mainly have done it as a hobby but found out I will need to pay Las Vegas (her area) $195 for a business license and app fee! But I will pay it to stay legit but there goes my profit   

Wow - so glad I don’t live in Vegas anymore. Here I need a state and county license and they are only $22. each to renew annually. I can’t remember the initial cost, but it was low.
