Hockey Season Over...Baseball Starts ...BRRRRRRRRRR!

The Crunch finally lost in the playoffs for the Calder Cup... *sniff* ... Next season they will be having a new mascot and I have to learn to paint a whole new weird animal or something.

But my first Syracuse Chiefs game was today and I officially froze my tooshie off... (if only I could really freeze it off so it just fell off and landed on the ground and I could just leave it there and keep walking and pretend it wasn't me!) It was about 50F out but the wind was raw, raw, raw.... felt more like 20F. Still, it was a baseball game, which I am WILD about.

Dear Miss Ronnie:
UnderArmour is what I wear under my hockey gear, camping with Girl Guides Winter Camping, and on chilly season openers.
Land's End sells silk long johns that are extremely thin, and WARM under my regular clothing.

I wore several layers today... but what I really needed was my winter parka. The gift store was right across from me and I went in there looking to buy underarmour....none... I bought gloves, though... "Fan Gloves" they have hard plastic pieces where your hands connect when you clap so they make a loud clacking noise. How fun, huh? My hands were warm after that and I could even paint with them on!

p.s. I've been home for a few hours and I am STILL freezing....cranked up the heat and it doesn't seem to help!!!! I want my mommy.

Up here in the wilds of Canada, with the swirling snow and howling wolves and all that, we have a hockey team called the Marlies. Am I mistaken or do they play against the Syracuse Crunch?
How did you go about getting your Crunch gig? Is it an arena event, or an AHL event and who did you approach?
Maybe we could end up creating a Forum wide job for the AHL!

Linda: I know Buffalo has more snow than Toronto...doesn't it stay warm with all the house fires I see broadcast on the news?

Lisa: Syracuse is actually the snowiest city in the continental U.S. and thankfully, we don't burn OUR houses down to keep warm...lol!
