New Brand for my Business what do you all think?
I hired a graphic artist to design a brand. for the biz....I love what she did..I think it is festive..I have all the flyers, business cards, letterhead and address labels and picture boards with the same colorful border .and the banners I got 2 sizes...4x10 for the back wall of my tent and a 2x10 foot banner for across the front. Yikes I paid twice as much for banners than my new tent. Well it so beats the crap outta my original cards ...sorry the pic was not so clear..

Congratulations! Looks like you're all set for the gigs to roll in

Kay, I apologize in advance for any hurt feelings I cause, but I just have to be honest here.
I am really shocked that you paid this person to design that for you. If they're calling themselves a graphic designer, it's really offensive to the real graphic designers out there. Just like the title "professional face painter" comes with a connotation of high skill face painting, so does the term "professional graphic designer"... and you really did not get high quality design.
I do graphic design at work and I've been using Photoshop for 10 years, and my boyfriend is taking Graphic Design... so it really bothers me to see people doing work like this claiming to be a 'graphic designer' and making people actually PAY for this bad quality of work.
The font is a bad choice, the spacing and kerning of the text is a mess, the border looks like a poor-quality clip-art image, the colourful drop-shadows look not-so-great... really, if you're paying for it, you deserve better.
Just as you'd hire a face painter based on seeing the work that they do, you should do the same with a graphic designer. Look at their portfolio and see if it's worth the price they're charging.
Okay... I'm done ranting now. I wish I could personally design everything for you lovely forum people, to avoid seeing stuff like this... but since I have a full-time job it's tricky. But if you ever want a re-design, PM me.

I appreciate the comments but I am quite happy with the whole turn out..I feel it is festive as opposed to just black. My original set up looked way too black and I wanted something that had lots of color and happy looking. I did not want what other people had. I think my banners turned out exactly as planned and my other office items were done beautifully. I take no offense to anyones comment.

Thanks Helena...I am very busy this year I have 26 full weekends booked, a county fair for a week and I have 11 birthday parties on top of that...If I can get the Week long fair I really want I can quit my day job...thats is just for the face painting alone..I have a few Renaisance Festivals where I will be doing only Henna..it will be a great year.
