Hello all, I have been watching many tutorials online and was referred to this site by Lisa Joy Young, who I just think is a facepaint angel. I am in Livonia, MI (just outside of the Detroit area). For the past 4 years I have been doing 'facepaint' at our local Relay for Life, but I was using regular tempera paints and simple cheek art. I wanted to up my game and have always been somewhat artistic so I know I am able. Once I started looking into it, I realized that tempera paints were not really considered 'safe' for skin, so I knew I wanted to either invest in the real thing or stop entirely...once I got going on the research and inspired by the online videos and pictures, I knew this was a direction I was meant to travel. I am also an aspiring writer for children, and mom of 3. I have discovered Silly Farm which I really like, and am primarilly investing in Wolfe Bros for now. I got some brushes I think I will be happy with for now, but Im always looking for good brand/product advice, and well, any advice in general on starting up a facepainting business, tricks of the trade, resources, etc. Happy Painting to all of you, seems like there is a lot of unity and a 'team' feeling among the artists of this trade, hope that is really the case. I am ALL about peace, love, and rainbows!!!

PLEASE check out my personal gallery to see my first few attempts at official face painting, and honest respectful feedback is appreciated, I dont mind criticism as long as it is constructive and respectful.
