I used DFX black- white-gold -blue - and a home made cake with black ,white, and gray for the letters .snaz red, orange, and yellow for the flames.I started by outlining the letters w/ white ,then adding the flames and dagger w/ blood spatters.and last did some shading and outline w/ black ,and highlights w/ white - brushes used-#4 round and 1/2 inch filbert-1 inch flat
Re: Post Here!
Hi, I have only been face and body painting for 2 months and this is my very first post to the forum, so please be gentle .
I found the challenge exciting and jumped on it. Luckily my husband was willing to let me use him as my canvus.
Please feel free to give me feedback. I'm learning everyday!
Tools;
Brushes; Mark Reid size 4 round, Royal Majestic size 5 round, Royal Majestic size 8 filbert, and a 1" flat brush (unknown brand).
Paints; Wolfe White, Paradise black, Paradise Storm Cloud, Paradise Light Green, Paradise Violet
Steps:
1. With 1" Brush load with Wolfe white and write out words (I chose Mana Art, using the 2nd a in Mana as a skull)
2. Blend in Paradise Storm Cloud on the bottom edges of the letters and any straight edge, also blending in the temples and eye sockets of the skull, using the filbert brush.
3. Outline the skull and details with Mark Reid Brush as well as some low lights in the lettering.
4. Outline the lettering with Paradise Light Green with the Majestic #5 brush.
5. Outline the Light Green with Paradise Black with the Mark Reid brush.
6. Create some other details and low lights with the Majestic #5 with Paradise Violet.
7. Create cross bones with the 1" brush with Wolfe white.
8. Shade bones with filbert and Paradise Storm Cloud.
9. Outline cross bones with Paradise Black then again with Paradise Light Green.
Thanks so much for the challenge. Makes me feel like I'm in school again and have home work! (in a good way of course )
SO MUCH FUN! Good luck everyone. Sure looks like some stiff competition. Everyone did an awesome job!

Re: Post Here!
AMAZING entries! I've made a resolution to enter every monthly comp to stretch myself. But now I'm thinking I really shouldn't look at the other entries till afterwards, and I shouldn't go near the vote page (I do get so excited about getting 1 vote!). Ok. Breathe. Back to the drawing board to figure out an entry.
Re: Post Here!
Soooo I dunno if this will qualify as a full step by step, I missed a few pictures >.<
That's what I get for painting while under the influence of several too many jello shots LOL
I'm gonna post it anyway cause I thought it looked cool
Used a #1 and a #2 brush and a small flat brush.
The green and purple are paradise and the black and white is DFX.
Lay out lettering first of all
Outline in black
So this is where I missed a few steps...
3) add purple 3D detail and outline in black.
4) Add tiger stripes to "R"
5) Add white details to outer edge.
DOne!
Anyway I thought it turned out cool *g* Inebriated and all as I was LOL

Re: Post Here!
Okay, be gentle (FPV = face paint virgin) this is my first time at a challenge, first time graffiti and first time making slideshows. So where to start?…my Froggie of course (a bit of a frog freak I’m afraid). I think ‘Froggie’ needs a slightly wider head next time. Never thought I’d say this…but I wish I had BIGGER arms. Not enough room sometimes. Please be blatantly honest and tell me where I need the most practice, apart from practice, practice, practice. Thanks all for such a great forum of like-minded (FP Addicts) people helping each other.
Equipment used;
Roymac taklon 8, 2 & 1
Large and small sponge dotters (homemade), pink liquid bling (homemade) and silver fairy dust.
Mont Marte Body Art paints, dark green, light green, purple, yellow, dark blue, white and black.
Step 1. Lay down base dark green using the large dotter and add legs, toes and eye bumps with the number 8.
Step 2. Using the small dotter add white tummy and chin with almost dry sponge. Add mouth with number 2 in white. Still with white brush add eyes. Then outline with black using number 1 brush.
Step 3. Add a few star bursts with white No 2, a couple of highlights on frog and sprinkle with silver fairy dust. (shame it does not show up very well in the photo)
Step 4. The Graffiti !! Out line placement and shape of letters using white number 1.
Step 5. Fill in with light green using number 2. Then shadow with purple using number 2.
Step 6. Still with number 2 place dark blue stops over the letters and then add a few yellow lines.
Step 7. Outline everything using number 1 and black. Replace the painted over starbursts and add few more (lol).
Step 8. The finishing touch! Add pink liquid bling over the purple shadowing to the letters.
