Re: Post Here!
Here's hoping first is NOT the worst like we said when we were kids lol
here we go! Sorry for the individual pictures. The slideshows kept shuffling the pictures so they weren't in order
Tools:0/3 round, #3 round, small flat brush (mine is unnumbered but looks about ΒΌ inch), sponge
Paints:wolfe white, wolfe black, drx metallic purple, dfx silver, snaz burgundy, snaz grey
Steps:
1) Outline the letters of what you want to write in white for placement purposes. I used wolfe white and my 0/3 round. If you’re stumped on what to do for letters, google images had loads of examples of graffiti alphabets. I personally like the more bubbly looking letters.
2) Fill in the letters with dfx metallic purple using your #3 round.
3) Load your sponge with snaz grey and create a line near the bottom of your design and fill in the area below it with the grey. This will create the alley pavement. You want to blend the grey out as you get further from your initial line so it is darkest at the line. That line will be where the wall and the ground meet. I forgot to get a pic of this but you can see it in the next picture.
4) Make 2 rectangles on the “ground” using your #3 round and wolfe white. Then still using your #3 round take the dfx silver and add curved silver bottoms and tops to your rectangles. Put little white squares and the top and voila! You have spray paint cans!
5) Using your flat brush and the snaz burgundy make small rectangles all over the wall area in a brick pattern.
6) Using your #3 round and your wolfe black and dfx metallic purple, create caps for your spray paint cans on the ground next to them.
7) Using the wolfe black and the 0/3 round outline your words, cans, and caps. You can also add other random saying on the wall.
and just for giggles...he was such a trooper but just couldn't last lol

Re: Post Here!
Good on ya Mizzard!! What a great idea. Love your "for giggles" pic at the end. Gorgeous. Been a bit scared of this challenge. Better get my thinking cap on.
Re: Post Here!
Thanks Rae:) I figured if I were first I wouldn't be too intimidated lol he was out cold at the end. I completely cleaned his back with baby wipes and he had no clue. I woke him up to he could go potty before bed and found him asleep on the bathroom rug! he's a goober

Re: Post Here!
I love it! Your little one is too cute! Mine is the same way. . .she would sleep through anything!
Re: Post Here!
YAY Mizz you did a fabulous design. Love the pic at the end for a giggle. I've been a bit unsure of this challenge too Rae. I've never done graffiti. I might just watch this one.
Re: Post Here!
I did Wiser's Graffitti class, but still have a long way to go! A tiny bit bummed becuase I was so intent on getting the first part of the class down, I did not get to pay enough attention to the more complex one, but I'm hoping to practice it soon! Here are two from me. One says page, and the other is the arm I did on Lone Wolf. you can read 'wolf' in hers.
For these there is no real step by step. Lay down 2 or 3 background colors, black lettering and 'frill, then highlight in white. I used tag metallic for the backgrounds and wolfe white and black.
And of course, my very first shot at graffitti from February
I'll try to do a new one in step by step but unsure if I will have the time to go there.

Re: Post Here!
@Mizzard - I LOVE that you have the cans on the ground! That is sooo cute! I am hoping I may use that idea with your permission of course! Love how the little man is out like a light! LOL
Re: Post Here!
Metina feel free! I'm amazed and honored that you'd want to use anything of mine
Kim I wish i had gotten a better pic of the cans. they actually came out really really well but the pic doesn't do it justice. Inspired by real life lol i've stumbled across cans on the ground before, i always figured the tagger got interupted by the police and had to make a quick get away lol Feel free to use it, i certainly don't own the rights to painting litter lol

love the graffiti wall!!
I used to draw graffiti letters all the time in highschool! scribbling in my notebooks all the time! so I'm going to ask my sister if she'll let me paint on a leg...

Re: Post Here!
This is def NOT bad *ss graffitti!!! But maybe one us FP's might like???
Bit weird. Kinda happened by accident. I started just to practise some letters, then wondered what background would compliment, then started to practise some flowers and after my first flower I thought, mm ok, what's gunna happen here.... (( I often take sbs photos of stuff I do for reference for myself, so I can see whether I should have added stuff or not, like a training exercise I guess)) Anyway, after all the effort I thought I'd post it.
Not at all what I was thinking of doing!!! So I think I'll be back with something else, maybe. Good to get in early like Mizzard said! hehehe
((and I also used the slideshow for the first time!!! yay!! ))
So I used all TAG and DFX paints.
DFX red, metallic white, black, white, yellow, pink. Split cake leaf.
TAG light blue, dark blue, berry wine, and my own split cake (i think red, warm pink, orange, yellow, white, black)
No 2 round, No 4 round, 1 inch flat and No 16 flat.
