Perry,

I can't recall if i told you or not, but check Peir 1 before you order from the US. I use the wooden directors chairs from there. I think they are around $79 and you have to buy the fabric for the seat and back separate for about $18 but you can choose your colour that way. I love them and the kids love them too, on Canada Day we had kids passing by Cathy Corbett's regular chair to get painted sitting in my chair. (For those of you who do not know Cathy, she is an amazingly talented Canadian artist and NO ONE in their right mind would pass up a chance to be painted by Cathy to get painted by me...but the chairs did it!! LOL)

I got one from an EZ Up distributor in Toronto. It cost me quite a lot of money, but it has my name printed on the inside back of the chair. I like having the kids up there while I'm painting, everyone can see the painting as it happens without wiggling in behind me.

I'm 5'2" and I use a tall director's chair and stand to paint. After a 4-day festival with 12 hours days, I decided I needed to lose some weight Wink I've since lost 43 pounds and still trying to lose more, but it has made a huge difference! My feet don't hurt as bad now and I can move around a lot easier. I used to sit to paint, and my back would hurt a lot worse than my feet ever did!

So I always carry my directors chair in my trunk just in case...I paint either sitting or standing depending on the event and # of kids and also depending on my mood (ie do i really want to lug that thing out, set it up, then pack it up too?)

I just use 2 folding chairs. I want to get a directors chair, but can't afford it right now.

I stand and use a directors chair, and love it! (I'm 5'3") It hurts my back less to stand, and then my fat isn't all squished up like when I sit to paint Razz

Blu, do you have a rolling tool kit? My brother added aluminum supports/stoppers to the front of my kit, so I can add my chair and 2 display boards, bungee them to my handle, and roll everything along! I'll try to take a picture.

I go both ways. For short gigs, 2-3 hours, I prefere to stand and have the paintee sitting on a tall stool. For longer gigs, I have two equal height chairs facing each other.

I am going to get a big fat cushion for the back of the paintee chair though because it drives me nuts when kids slowly lean back away from me even when I ask them to sit towards the end of the seat.

For my clients I use a MID-LEVEL aluminum director's chair that I got from Amazon and that I am What a Face IN LOVE WITH! I love you

I always ask kids to sit all the way back and tip their face up. That keeps their face still and gives me the option of standing to one side which I feel gives me better control.

I need something firm to sit on. Haven't found anything comfortable for me yet. Sad

Seriously thinking of this chair. I need a chair that won't sink and has a firmer seat than those slouch ones we all have in the garage. I think its terrific that it has that cooler in the arm and all the pockets also the table.

Looks perfect for smaller events and as a chair for ME! Smile flower

Feedback anybody?

It does look comfy! I like to stand & walk around my model, but if you sit & paint, that looks like it would be perfect.
