Directors Chair
Hi,
I've recently purchased a directors chair for my face painting and was just wondering how other people get the kids into the chair. I have been lifting them up myself but I'm quite small and some of the kids are really heavy! I'm thinking of using a 3 step ladder instead but will be annoyed because I already spent money on this directors chair - arghh!
TIA xx

Re: Directors Chair
My directors chair has a bar that goes across that I have the children step on and then "climb on up!" I try not to pick up children at all - that's what their parents are for!
Re: Directors Chair
You can also get a little fold up stool that packs up super easy at Big Lots, Kohls or the like.
Re: Directors Chair
I try to not lift them, but only 'spot' them as they climb into my chair. I have a small fold up step stool that I zip-tie to the bottom rung of the chair, to keep it in place.
If I am at a large PPF event, I have two director's chairs, and my kit in between, and I rely upon parents, or my Line Manager to assist children to and from my chairs.

I'm impressed at your skill, fesspenter that you can paint two children at the same time - good way to double your business! Have you tried using your feet as well so you can do 3-4!?
Re: Directors Chair
Bwahahahahahhaha!
You are SO funny, LittleMonsters!
I can only paint one child at a time!
I may have misspoken....
I move to the second chair, while the first gets emptied and refilled. I only do this at PPF events, as the more I paint, the more I make.

Re: Directors Chair
I have a small plastic stool that I slide with my foot under my directors chair and if I need it I can slide it out with my foot. I spent my working career as a Paramedic/Firefighter and I have lifted enough people to know that I don't want to do that anymore!! So parents can get their bundles of joy in and out of my chair if they need assistance more than the stool. if they are to small to get up on their own I have them sit in their parents lap =O)
