Paint Brushes Vs. Make-Up Brushes

Hi Everyone,
So I'm in the market to get some better quality brushes. What I've been using has been two sets of oil painting brushes. I've seen artists like Lexi of Madeyewlook and other artists on youtube using make up brushes instead of paint brushes.

Do you all feel there's a difference? And, if so, is it for better or worse? I'd also like to know what brands of brushes are your faves and where I can order them. I'd like to step my brush game up as I'm getting better in my painting but the brushes I'm using aren't producing quality line work (lots of feathering and I'm constantly trimming) or holding as much product as I want. I use Wolfe FX Hydrocolors and TAG split cakes so I feel confident that my products are good quality and it's my brushes that are holding me up.

for line work, generally you want a brush that is fairly stiff, so it will hold its shape and not bend or flop around as you draw it along. synthetic fiber brushes are best.

also, one with a fine point, so you can make clean lines, and end your stripes and teardrops well. many people recommend the loew cornell gold grip (gold handle) or 7000 series, but any brush that keeps its point is good.

  First, buy good brushes. These are just MY favorites.
I've used the same brushes for a few years now.
Learning from the pro's, my kit has:
NINE Loew-Cornell  Golden Grip Round brushes,
Sizes #2 & #4...
   THREE of each size,
   One for WHITE - One for BLACK- One for COLORS,
   in each size
   One Grumbacher Round #6
   $$$ but has lasted 4 years

Three Donna Dewberry 3/4" Flat brushes
  (my fav 3/4 brand) for one stroke cakes
Two LaCornell 1/2" Flat
  one for shading, one for painting
One Royal Majestic 1" to pick up ALL the paint in a one stroke, best on a larger forehead.

American Painter Angle 5/8" & 1/2" (Thank You Denise Cold)
  5/8 for roses, butterfly edging, wings
  1/2" for leaves

I'm still using an eyebrow brush from Target, no longer available, Sonia Kashuk, for double dipping for flower petals. You can use, as I did at start, a #6 from craft store.
Stashed in my bag, seldom used: are Brushes for fur, a deerfoot etc.

Not only do you need the right brushes, you need to clean them with cool, never hot water...(will melt the glue in the ferrule) & a good soap. I wash mine with a bar of green soap called: "The Masters", available at Michaels. Next, drag them across a round, white cake of "The Master's Brush Cleaner and Preserve"... to reshape them.
Fold a towel over at the end, so the brushes can dry flat, hanging off over the fold.
  This is just what I found works best for me. Good Luck!

Thanks so much guys! I've ordered a few of the Lowe Cornwell to try out and have also gotten some of the Simply Simmons from Hobby Lobby, already loving these and can't wait for my LCs to arrive. I really appreciate all the suggestions!
