Airbrush Starter Kits

HI I am currently wanting to start my own Airbrush Face Painting and Temporary Tattoo Business and was wondering about getting a starter kit. I seen one on Silly Farm Website. The cost is $2000.00 and I am kind of skeptical of shelling that much money online. I'm an in-store shopper and rarely shop online, but this is exactly was I want and need. Just wondering if anyone has purchased anything from Silly Farm? and how their products were? If you are an airbrush artist, where do you buy your supplies from? When I purchase from facepaintforumshop.com, I have it sent to my US address, as shipping and handling are huge to Canada, and Canadian Duties and Customs are outrageous.
I put aside $2,000.00 for airbrushes for body painting.  i will try to find the thread where I posted this information.  $2,000.00 was not enough.  The airbrushes were not the most expensive cost.
If I must buy from a Canadian Supplier, I purchase my ProAiir from Dotsy the Clown in St. Thomas, or from the HokeyPokeyShop in Maple, Ontario.
I live in Toronto.
I bought my airbrushes from Curry's, and Sunward Hobby Supplies.

I allowed myself a budget of $1,000 to start.
I have since found out I underestimated:
$230 2 Iwata gravity top feed guns
$312 Compressor
$ 32 Quick-Connects
$ 48 2 Manifold gun station
$ 22 Cleaning station
$ 39 Rolling scrapbook container (switched to a Züca)
$381 Pro-Aiire hybrid paint to start
$ 18 Master Cleaning Kit
$ 7 99% Isopropyl Alcohol
$18 Chamois cloths for lint- free clean up
$180 Stencils (Textures, Flags, more BAM's)
$ 26 Ball bearings for shaking & stirring paint
$ 71. Sistema bottles, carrying cases
To do airbrush glitter tattoos, I would have to invest in even more stencils.
I have cut and wedged some big yellow peanut-shaped sponges into Tupperware to cradle and carry my guns.
I have used Tupperware for my paints. I transferred all my paint colours into Sistema "sauce bottles" as the cap is attached, so I do not lose it, and they have a nozzle that is less messy for loading the paint into the cup. I had the Tupperware already, as I am also a Tupperware slut. I have severely cut down on my Tupperware addiction.

I should have budgeted more for stencils, and for the accoutrements like cleaning, storage, extension cord & power bar for traveling.

I think you would make your investment back faster with Glitter Tattoos.

Um, JJJJJ.....I just bought a Silhouette Cameo cutter ($363) to cut my own airbrush stencils, and custom logo glitter Tattoos. It will take about a million tattoos to break even. I highly recommend Faketoos. The learning curve is very steep on this machine.

Thank you for your valuable information you provided. It is so good to be able to ask experienced airbrush artists for their wisdom on the subject.

Friend of mine spent like $5000 to start up, this was also tent, signs etc.

But yeah, don't just blow it all on the starter kit, shop around a while.

that's an expensive pastime (notice i didn't say hobby, but i also didn't say job ), when do you actually begin to make a profit?
