Post by Saraendepity Sun Mar 23, 2014 1:12 pm

Hi all!! *waves*

I'm looking at purchasing my first "proper" set of paints. I currently only paint my children and friends but I will be doing school fairs and other parties (just again for friends, not "proper work" yet...

I've been looking at purchasing a kit from facepaint uk which is made up in bulk of Grimms colours and DFX white and black for line work etc... Is this going to be good? Any reviews? I've heard Wolfe black/white is better? Should I buy seperate or am I better getting this kit to get me going? Help! It's all so intimidating ! Hahaha

Dear Saraendipity:
I think you have made a fine choice.
You are saving shipping costs by ordering from one supplier.
I do not notice much of a difference anymore between DF/X and Wolfe Black & White.
If you go into your Profile, above and type in your general location, it makes it easier for local painters to find you and invite you to Jams. At a Jam, you can look at other painters' kits, try new colours, brushes and see new techniques.
Happy Painting!

Sweet!! I can't wait to see the kit when it comes. I've been piecemealing mine together and I think I should have bought more regular solid colors

Don't you just love waiting for mail?

Here in Canada, I've waited upwards of 9 weeks for things I've ordered online, and was charged through the nose! Just think, it can always be worse.... You could be canadian!
