Ah, you guys are so talented! Sneezle, I sent a message yesterday about all of your pictures but it didn't post for some reason, I loved em all, I really liked your little butterflies, and well... everything really, I can't name it all.

Kathy, WELCOME! Your teddies are sooooo cute. Love the little gem on their bellies. It's nice to have another person my age who has gone facepaint crazy just wish they would have had all these wonderful paints available when I was younger! Oh well, I'm really having fun now!! (and have amassed quite a kit, let me tell you! ) Please share some more of your work!!
Marielle, Love your line work, it is so good!!! and your shading is wonderful. Flowers....ahhhhh, so nice!

Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Circus party coming up, and there are going to be about 20 kids so I need some quick fun designs.
I wanted to incorporate bears, horses, tigers and elephants but wanted more then just the face... then I remembered Daizy had face designs that were really small so I used hers as inspiration to get started.
This is just a start, but it is a juggling bear. I wanted to put a frilly neck piece on but I couldn't do the ruffles over my nose...
I also really dislike my brown, anyone have any suggestions for a good brown?
excuse the hair as usual
haha the fire sux, but I think I could make this work for tiger through flame!
And just to be silly! haha

DannyB Great designs. I really love Daizy, she calls the creatures nosimals i think. Her work is so inspiring!!! It's gonna be a great circus party with you around painting all the kids! Have lots of fun.
Thank you very much Valerie. I love drawing and painting and maybe it helps me painting staight lines. Is my line work really that good??? When i see Daizy paint her lines look much straigter than mine.
Paola, i really don't know what time it is in the Netherlands aroud 8:00. I think i'm still sleeping. Have to find it out, would love to see it.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone! Left hubby in the lounge room watching football and crept in here to play with my paints and visit the forum!!
Katurah! Oh those colours are so beautiful together!! I love that design!!
And Danny... I finally figured out how to make your photos bigger.. I was trying to squint at the monitor to see the juggling bear, but couldn't see a thing! They all look fabulous!! So much fun!!
Hi Marielle! I love everything you post here.. yes, you are a very talented artist!! I am wondering who Daizy is though? Is there a page somewhere where I can see her work?
Hi Valerie! woohoo!! I just had a peek and we are exactly the same age!! Super!! Yes, I am truly addicted to face painting now... I gaze at my paints every day and I just adore them!! hee!!
I felt in a pink mood tonight, so here's a little something to share... I do love pink!! Thanks again for the welcome everyone!!!! This is such a nice place to be!!

Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Someone asked for a shot from the photo shoot with the peacock feathers...this is one I took with my phone camera. I'm not thrilled with it because of the disconnect between the design and the hair (I've asked to do the face painting after the hair is done next time)...and a little too much free space in the design, but something to keep in mind for next time....and my daughter was not cooperating very well...she is just not into face painting anymore! Anyway...enough excuses about my bad painting job! Here it is!
Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Ambercat your pink mood painting is awesome!!! Beautifull how the purple blends in the pink. And here is a link to Daizy design's website: http://www.daizydesign.com
And you can also find her on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/DaizyDesign
I'm a huge fan of her. Love her paintings. She is so talented!!!
Shadowdrawing gorgeous little girl. I made a peacock dress and painting a while ago because my daughter had a farm party at school. (it was in juni and pictures are somewhere in our last topic). It's so much fun making the dress. Did you make it yourself??? I love your peacock feather painting. Beautiful.
Katurah thats a lovely eye design. Very pretty. Love the colours you used.

Sneezle - The dresses were provided by the photographer. She had them made. I'll go check out your last post.
Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Shadowdrawing it is somewhere in the: "Show and Tell May - July 2013" topic. I'll look for it.

Sneezle - Love your peacock! She is too cute with the feathers down the back!
Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Thanks.
A few more things i did practice today. The lines of the neon designs are not very straight. When i paint on myself it's always a bit bumpy and sloppy .....
And i saw this beautiful fairy at Daizy Design. Love her designs. Her fairy's are so cute...

I thought this was a bear, but it's a lion cub! I love it, just want to tweak a few things to make it my own, but this was my first time painting one!

Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Some really gorgeous stuff coming up in here, guys! Love that peacocky-butterfly, Sneezle - beautiful colours. Which green did you use?
Nikkili - what amazing, dark eyes your little model has! Nice design, can't wait to see where you go with it when you tweak it. :-)
Here are a few things I've painted in the last few weeks. Firstly, my friend Laura asked to be a fantasy tiger after I'd painted the children at my son's 5th birthday party last week:
A mask that took me agggggges because painting myself isn't exactly easy:
And my little boy, who refuses to be painted anymore unless I use Starblends and do it in less than about 90 seconds!
I think he's very cute, but I recognise that my opinion might be influenced by maternal bias.
Next month will be the first anniversary of the first time I picked up a brush! I keep thinking I should do something to celebrate or mark the occasion, since it's become such a big part of my life. Any ideas?
Kammy xx

Re: Show and Tell #5 August - October 2013
Oh l!zzie, you're so naughty! You KNOW how much stuff I have these days....I should post new photos as a warning to the newer newbies.
I'm thinking of inviting a few friends over, painting them, taking photos and then making a collage of the results alongside the very first paints I did on the 5th September 2012...with those horrific "fun brushes" from my Snaz starter kit, on my overexcited and wriggly 4 year-old. Though I'm still horrified at those early photos.
