Oh I have some exciting news... Today I have officially upgraded from a shoe box to a tackle box!!

Here is the old Face painting box I have been sporting - so classy!


And here is my new and improved (middle man) tackle box converted into face painting kit!



lol, luckily I don't have much stuff yet, so I can fit it all into a 10 dollar box

So the season finale of my favorite TV show (okay, so it's a cartoon...), Gravity Falls, aired recently and so I thought I'd paint one of the recently introduced villains on my arm for practice. :)Not bad for a noob with a beginner Snaz palette, I think!

We really enjoyed our vacation. But.... Home Sweet Home.  I hope to show a few designs real soon after al the washing and cleaning. I took my facepainting kit with me the last 3 weeks

What black do you use?

My version of the peacock that a Wolfe Brother did and I have seen many do. This is my version that uses one stroke and made into a full mask, but can be for just one eye as well.

DannyB - I use DiamondFX Black. I am almost out and have the new Wolf brand that everyone is complaining about to replace it. Depending on how it works...I might be going back to the DFX.

what is a petal brush? is this the same as the double headed filbert?

Somebody asked me to do a Toy Story party... it didn't pan out, but I still practiced 'em.







I also tried one of them fancy dino's-mouth-is-your-mouth thangs for Rex, though the green was misbehaving...

I LOVE THEM ALL, AMORE!!!!!!!! too bad you didn't get to use them at the event, but now you know how to do them for the random kid that requests it!

Glad you are back, Marielle!! Just isn't the same without you here. Did you go somewhere fun? We got to go to Hawaii for three weeks for our anniversary (our 40!!! eek   makes me sound old, but I'm not  it was a once in a lifetime trip that's for sure)...I wish it for all my friends now!

Amoredellommatto, WELCOME! So glad you've joined us here. I'm sorry your  gig didn't work out because your Toy Story paintings are excellent! Your 'rex' is great too...even if your green gave you trouble.
You might want to share your general location, believe me it helps sometimes when when you have questions etc.

Katurah. What can I say?? Except, you are FABULOUS! Love your 1st :cheers:belly, sooo pretty...and all your signature flowers and 'drips.' Just lovely!

Love Toy Story! They look great. I find small work like that hard for me..They tend to look like blobs when I paint small cheek art...lol. I do better with those with pencils and paper..haha. It takes some major talent to paint it:)

Don't worry, Ruby, the small stuff is hard for me too on kids and these are way more detailed than I would have accomplished at the actual event. Me and my roommate have steady grown-up hands that are entirely unlike fidgety child faces. Half the time when I try to recreate some amazing detailed thing I'd perfected at home on a kid, it turns to blob and I want to cry.

And I didn't realize I didn't have my profile filled out in the slightest, Valerie. I have been lurking FOREVER...

Valerie, thanks very much for your lovely words. I missed the forum Glad i'm back. We went to Germany for 2 weeks (Winterberg - Hoog Sauerland). Lovely surroundings. The kids; Naomi (6) and David (4), enjoyed themselfs. After 2 weeks Germany we stayed one more week in the Netherlands in Drenthe in a bungalow park with a little lake and a swimming pool. I remember you wrote about Hawaii, lovely. xxx

Love the Toy Story! I haven't attempted any well known characters aside from the angry birds. I'm pretty sure I missed the eyebrows on one of them...but the boy didn't seem to notice
