Re: Post Away!
This is my first attemp at a mummy face paint
1. I did an eye design first (since I must admit I'm girly).
2. I sponged white DFX everywhere except the eye area.
3. Then, I added yellow DFX lines that I smudged where I wanded the bandages to be.
4. I outlined them in black DFX. For a child, I would've stopped there and added just some details.
5. Since I'm older and I like dark face paints, I added shadows.
6. I finished the face paint by adding red DFX under my eyes and in the cuts of the mummy's bandages.
Enjoy !

Re: Post Away!
so cute--and how did you get your 4 year old to hold still so long? My is almost 5 and she is pretty wiggly! The face is awesome. I love the idea of the eyeball just hanging there--yuck!

Netflix She watched the tv for parts and the reflection of the tv through our turtle aquarium for other parts...and I told her I'd give her a special treat afterwards...a decadent piece of Ghirardelli chocolate.
Thanks

Sugar Skull
So I thought I better do something a little better than the witch I posted--
This is my Sugar Skull, and I have never done one before. I was pleased with it, but I still could use some improvement.
I posted this in the wrong place before! *Smack forehead with palm*
Start with white, Blue, and Black.
--I am going to have some questions in this post too--my white just doesn't cover well, I am using the Blk/White mini arty brush cake--What would you suggest as a great white that covers the 1st time?
Add embellishments
again, question: what tricks do you use to make both sides the same? Does that come with practice? I try to use the eyes and nose, end of the mouth, and eyebrows as guides, but I just can't get it even.
Add Color
Question: is this to busy? Should i have left some color out? I used 5 colors (including Bl & white)
Any suggestions on how I could improve would be great.
I have a hard time knowing when I should stop and not add anything else.
And the last picture is just playing with the color saturation---
question: WHich setting on your camera do you use to take pictures of your artwork?
I am pretty sure there will be links in this wonderful forum answering these questions--so you have any tips, links, or helps to any of my questiosn that would be great!
PS: I am SUPER impressed with anyone who can draw on their eyelids while they are closed! that is SO hard!

Re: Post Away!
Not posting for entry did this few weeks ago because I had never really done a monster before and wanted to practice before the halloween.
Re: Post Away!
Here's another one. This one I know is really crappy, but wanted to post because I plan on doing a new one and hoping you will see the improvement.
Re: Post Away!

Re: Post Away!
I used Tag Bright Northern Lights , black white and red paradise mehron. A sponge and a # 4 round brush. step 1sponge on the sunset and make the webs
step 2 bat in the centre
step 3add details [/url
step 4 finish off design with dots, mini bats, mini spiders some glitter... etc
[url=https://servimg.com/view/16687313/149]The finished look probably would look a bit better if webs would shape around the eye area and the sunset area a bit more...
