Are Tag neons supposed to react to uv light?
I bought a neon rainbow and a couple neon colors. I want to paint at a dance with black lights and I tested them out at home and they did not react to the light at all. Do I need to get another kind of paint or another kind of bulb? I got a black light bulb at Lowes.

Is it an incandesent bulb? (screw in) or flourescent bulb? (tube type, but can also get them in screw in but they're twisty)
If it's an incandescent it's not a true "UV" blacklight, it's just a "black painted light blub"
Go to Spencers, San Francisco, or another novelty shop like that They're cheap!

Mine glow under black light...I think try what cattsy said, and try another light. Good luck!

They had both screw in and twisty flourescent...I bought the screw in cuz it was cheaper...I'll have to go back and get the other type then.....thanks!

this is DFX/ Tag (I find them interchangeable & often mix the lids up), Kryolan and some liquid UV white fardel under a very strong UV cannon.
The yellow/ green/ pink/ orange pop but the blue/ purple/ white in all brands are a bit of a waste under UV. All good in normal light if you can stand the 'mushy' chalkky texture all neons/ UV's have..
