Homemade Bath Fizzes Recipe
Today Magnolia and I made some homemade fizzing bath bombs. We had so much fun and it was unbelievably easy.
If you would like to try this with your daughters or just by yourself for fun, here is the recipe.
2/3 cup baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons water
6 drops essential oil (we used lavender)
chopped dried herbs or flowers if desired (we used dried rosebuds)
2 tablespoons citric acid
Maggie measured the baking soda into a bowl and added the essential oil. I chopped the rosebuds and let her dump them in. She then added the water little by little, mixing well with her hands to an even consistency. Mixture was loose but damp.
Then we added the citric acid, and mixed well again (with hands, it works way better).
The directions said to roll in balls, but we found that awkward and difficult, so we pressed the mixture into a 1 tbsp size measuring spoon and popped out the fizzers onto a plate.
Let dry at LEAST an hour before using.
She even said I could have one! I can't wait until bathtime!

She put a one in a baggie and tied it with a ribbon for her bff. It was adorable.

Oh... Thats a great idea, her birthday is soon and they could go in the 'swag' bags kids get after a party
