Victorindustrial. Steam powered ray guns. Golds and browns and metals.
Re: Show me the masks!
Here are a couple of masks I painted today, I'm not loving the blue one, I made the mistake of trying to use my glitter gel on the curls at the top corners and it made them look sloppy. I ordered the Ben Nye Grand Lumiere Palette for masks but I wanted to start practicing NOW .
I'd love to hear some constructive critiques if you see something that I could improve.

Re: Show me the masks!
Very nice! I don't think the top curls look sloppy at all! The dark blue is a bit dark, but you could either mix it with some metallic white, or use the ben nye blue- it's a very pretty color too.
Re: Show me the masks!
Thank you ladies!
I think the blue is too dark too..I used TAG metallic white, TAG metallic sky blue, TAG metallic blue, and a little bit of Wolfe metallic blue on the end...and wouldn't you know that the tiny amount of Wolfe overpowered the entire thing and I ended up fading quite a bit of it in towards the center. That stuff is HIGHLY pigmented. I love it...but a little bit goes a long long way.

I love them Stacia. The line work is fabulous and made them into a great shape. Nice work.

Love your masks and the girls are adorable!
Re: Show me the masks!
Love the masks Stacia!
These are not original ideas, but still fun:
Inspired by Michelle ( painted it for my Mardi Gras Festival last weekend)
This was inspired by Jody Rife's "Blue" mask for Daniel's Autism Awareness Book
Painted in the dark w/ just a headlamp for light at my Mardi Gras party last night

Stacia, I love those long teardrops on the pink crown (the ones on the corners, if that makes sense). Wonderful masks everyone!

Wish I could paint like Linda even if it was in the dark with just a headlamp!

Re: Show me the masks!
Lovely Stacia! You will love the Ben Nye...Try the yellow with the blue when it gets to you on that design. Easter is going to ROCK for you!
Re: Show me the masks!
I am finally going to put my Lumiere Palette to use this Fri. & Sat. I even bought the Brilliant Lumiere Palette for this event so I'm "borrowing" lots of mask ideas from you ladies.... There's going to be almost 1,700 adult women at a 2 night slumber party..... whoop-whoop!!!!!

Re: Show me the masks!
Do they even still make that? I suppose Centrum Silver isn't the same...
(maybe I'll have to hide a little flask under my apron just to get me through! Wonder what my line work would look like then?!!!)

Re: Show me the masks!
Wow Lonnie! That's the first lace mask that I might consider trying during an event. Simple but still elegant. Linda--Beautiful as always. Loving the simple flower mask.

Lonnie...that mask is so striking!!! Please tell us what colors/brands you used!
Re: Show me the masks!
It is all DFX. Metallic purple, green and dark blue. And just blended. And thank you . The mask is a mix of some other peoples masks, and made my own...
