I can see what you mean by the bad 80's puffy paint-like look. Thankfully, it dries a bit flatter and more sparkly! I purcahsed GlitterMark from Metina's shop and haven't had any liquid/separations issues with it. When I want a finer line, I put on the 0.5mm tip that I bought from SillyFarm.

liquid bling - Page 2 Empty Using liquid bling

Post by Denise Cold Thu Dec 01, 2011 8:00 pm

I've had good luck with Liquid Bling in gold and silver. I probably wouldn't get other colors. I've made my own with clear aloe and glitter (you could try it with all that free silver!) and it looks good but my bottle had a blow out! I bought the kind from Hobby Lobby and the top popped off too easy. Maybe I'll water them down a bit. But for business I would only get gold and silver for now and see if you like it.

I didn't like it at first either but I'm using it more like a brush stroke now so it's a LOT thinner and not so shaky/crafty looking. I use it like a drop shadow and quickly apply from the wrist with almost a flicking action and it's a really nice accent. As I get better at it I'll probably use it more for outlining but it really does add a lot to eye designs and it gets a lot of attention.

Hi D

Love your design using the liquid bling for highlights. I'm beginning to realise, after following this topic, that less is definitely more.
