inspired butterflies
Just went through a couple of butterfly threads and I was inspired to play today. My 7 month-old baby is really good if I lay her down and talk to her as I paint. Here is what I came up with after looking at a lot of different butterflies that you guys have posted. Thanks so much to everyone on here for the inspiration!!
Re: inspired butterflies
OK so this is slightly off topic a bit, But that is such a nice photo of you and your daughter, what a wonderful kkepsake that would be if you could frame it and maybe add the wording baby's 1st face painting.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

It really is a stunning/adorable photo! you cant half tell shes your daughter and lovely butterfly design, what colour/brand pink are you using? i still cant get over how your 7 month will let you face paint her. soo cute!
Re: inspired butterflies
I actually used the Paradise Prisma Cake "Fleur"... red pink and white with an arty brush. You could see the colors a lot better before I added the details. I had to lay her down and just kinda talk to her as I painted. She's a trouper. Her twin brother... not so much.
Re: inspired butterflies
Thanks guys! Kumi... I actually used an arty brush and the paradise prisma "fleur". I picked up the red pink and white. Occasionally I have kids ask specifically for red butterflies, which I always thought would look harsh. This is my new go-to. Using an arty brush instead of a sponge allowed me to lay the color down in a shape I wanted a lot easier too. I'm sure people do it all the time, but I've just been sponging rainbow cakes on for a while. This was a fun new approach.
Re: inspired butterflies
I think you have the makings of some great advertising there...you could do paintings of you two for all kinds of holidays or events then take photos. Dressing to coordinate with the paintings would enhance them as well.

Its such a great photo! I've never seen such detail on a kiddlet!
I would be a little cautious about using it for advertising - as other mums will think you can do this to their little one too!
I love mum and kid having the same face paint photos - they are just the best.
This is one of my sister and her daughter.... I like that they make a whole butterfly together! ( needs editing - too lazy! ) lol
