Starting up christmas designs...

My recent ones, playing with my new Christmas arty cake:

Just want to pop in and say how thankful I was for this thread today! I had my first ever Christmas party for a business. Well, first Christmas party ever for me.

I made a list of Christmas things and the pics everyone has shared were in my mind helping me along all day. I think the ones I did the most was the Santa, elf and Rudolph faces and lots of snowflakes! Cannot say enough how thankful I am for this forum.

Bekahcat..I think your talking about the Christmas mask.. I did the circles with a sponge dauber.. I think most crafty stores have them..It came in a pack of five different sizes..Very handy little tool.

I haven't had a chance to get pics of much of my Christmas stuff. I usually paint myself before gigs, but everyone wants Mrs. Clause, so I'm just doing rosy cheeks, etc. The kids I've been painting have all been either in shelters, at children's homes(foster care) or schools, so I can't take pics of them.... So, I decided to take some time & do a design before I got ready today

I like your pine boughs Linda. I want to make a design with candles and boughs...those look good. So do you have a whole Mrs. Claus costume? Do you do a wig or just a hat?

freedspirit... how on earth did you get that amazing broken-ice effect on your winter mask? It looks so cool! Is it a stencil?

oh yeah love the snow storm I like how you added just a little to the other eye to tie it in. So pretty.

Sharing 2 mins. x-mas designs, for the first time ever I was able to fill 30 kids in 2 hours (I know it is the average for you guys but I am quite slow). And the fancy feather split cake makes a beautiful x-mas rainbow. Blue crown is a quick take of Jolene's[img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

I use a fan brush fort the pine boughs (I'm thinking a rake brush might be better, but don't have one yet).

Nice designs Arty...you do a great, detailed job on your faces and they are complete faces so you aren't really taking too long; seems pretty fast to me!

Linda, that's darling! I wonder if I could take an old brush and make a rake. I just had some paint chip off one of my old 3/4" brushes. Thanks for the tip and the cute photo.

Ok guys, need you for my X-mas gift!

A fellow teacher offered me her class to practise my X-mas designs! A whole class with seven years old sweeties!
I really don't have enough ideas by myself but would love to try some of yours.
All I want for X-mas is that I can try these designs below and have permission to put them (the ones I made myself) on my own website to get a little bigger portfolio.

Love them all, but have to make 30 children in about 2 hours I think, so it won't be full faces or very detailed ones.
