so in an attempt at keeping up with the times i finally had a crack at a skull, it still needs some work but for my first attempt im actually happy with it, now i just gotta get it down to a reasonable time frame....

Just did my first skull today. Not nearly as good as yours. Forgot to shade the temples and teeth should have been bigger but at least i know where I want to go with it next time.

First one - took maybe five minutes... most of the time spent doing an opaque base. Should have taken more time to get my other elements right. Teeth are sloppy -- definitely can improve next time. Like you Laurie I don't do this professionally. I am an RN who gets the opportunity to face paint on occasion.
