another one-stroke empty container idea :)
Pin containers!!
I bought a 3 pack of pins for $2
all the pretty empty's lol the lids are nice a snug, and they seem really tough.
Size compared to the TAG one-stroke, they are a tag bigger, but i like this.
Depth Compared

Re: another one-stroke empty container idea :)
Reject shop here I come!!!
I needed one on the weekend and ended up using the bottom of the 90gm wolfe black container - the bit that screws in underneath - quite nifty but doesn't work if you're making one from a thicker (45g). fine if your making the split from thin 32g colours
I've even used a safron container before!

Re: another one-stroke empty container idea :)
Resurrecting an old thread...
I seem to remember a while ago somewhere on here someone mentioned the idea of using Altoid mint containers.
I was searching online and found a place that sells these tins (sliding lid) and they will even customize them for you... With a minimum order of 5,000...
Then I remembered I had a mint container. It turns out it is identical. For those considering a magnetic setup (thanks, Lady Jayde!), this would be a great one-stroke case.
So I guess a bunch of mints are in my near future! lol
Here is a picture with the lid removed, compared to a Paradise split cake.

Re: another one-stroke empty container idea :)
What a great idea! What kind of mints did that container come from?
Re: another one-stroke empty container idea :)
Ooh, all great ideas! I'm just worried about using snaz to make splits... I heard somewhere that the paint eats through plastic...

It came from these mints:

Whoops! HUGE!
If I remember correctly, they came with different sayings on the front. It looks like they are called "Little i" mirrored mints.
I found them on Amazon in several different colours (flavours), here:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_8?url=search-alias%3Dgrocery&field-keywords=little+i+mirror+mints&sprefix=little+i%2Cgrocery%2C348
Unfortunately, the black is currently unavailable at first glance. Bet it could be found elsewhere though.

Here is another photo to give a relative size comparison. The tin has a half-sponge inside.

Also... I wonder how the Altoids Smalls container would work for a rainbow cake...? Anyone tried?
Excited for my order to come!

Re: another one-stroke empty container idea :)
Just a thought but metal containers are better conductors of heat and on a hot day might not be the ideal container. You might want to try a test before putting everything in metal. Plus you want to make sure that what you are using is rust proof which pretty much means being mostly aluminum which means non-magnetic. Just a thought.

I happened to remember somebody's paints melting due to heat. That would be a bummer. My paints are like my babies!
