I have some advice for anyone wanting to do this. One, printing on site is a HUGE pain. You need power (have to usually pay extra for this), toner, ink paper all add up quickly and most printers are way too slow for on site. While you can do it, it is a lot of work and can cost a lot of money and then if the color balance is off it was for nothing and you may have to work on the printer more. I have several and none of them ever print consistently or quickly. On the other hand, I have a pro web site where I can upload my own photos, make them private or public or password protected and then set the price. I even can make a download price. So if you did that you could set your camera on a tripod right behind you set to take a photo of the entire area, add a remote switch (which focuses the camera) and take the photo yourself with one hand or an assistant, they could go to your web site and buy it directly from you or purchase a download for a discounted price. If you wanted you could take orders and payment there and mail the photos. Or, post a link to your facebook page and tell them to find the photos there for purchase. You won't sell a lot but maybe a few. I usually take photos at events and tell them they will be on my facebook page in the hopes they will go, tag themselves and become fans or have their friends see my work. Works okay for adults.

I love this idea for the parents to take the photos, you could even sell headsets/headbands right there along with boas and make some extra cash! Why not include some wings from a local artist and have her control the photo booth! Such a great idea! There are also companies that specialize in photo booths, perhaps teaming up with them would be a good idea, they have all the props right there as well and do all the printing.

avs...

WOW!!!

when you get an idea....you really go!

great job!!

lorri is right....the paper and ink can be expensive.

buy only when on sale at office d. or staples....and, it comes out to .23 per photo!

but, that's only if you buy on sale!

you do need power....whenever i do a fair, i pay for power anyway, because, i like to have lights and fans.

so....good luck!

let us all know how it goes;)

ttfn,

rebecca

I love the idea, but LICE!!
I'll take a photo op, hold the lice, please.
No head pieces for my booth, thank you. Photo with a backdrop, maybe. Post it on fb for customers to find and tag, sure.
