Finally Did a Body Painting!
My son's birthday present to me was him letting me paint a shirt on him. I went with a bull fighter because he dances classical ballet & I knew he'd be able to pull it off. It took about 2 1/2 hours w/ breaks. I could have gone longer & would loved to have added tons of details, but I could tell he was getting tired out. Still, for my 1st body I was pretty happy! Oh, and I did not paint any of that muscle tone... it's all his
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
i <3 it so much! Your son is awesome and really sells it! Great job Linda!!!! What a fantastic gift.
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
I love the painting. But what I love even more is that you have raised a son who gives thoughtful gifts!
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
Did you get some shots of that with a plain background? Just hanging a flat plain coloured sheet works to hide the furniture.
Looks great and he's working it!

Aside from how fantastic the painting is, and a GREAT choice for a dancer, I love that your son dances ballet. I danced for 15 years and my darlings got the dancing gene, but prefer hip-hop. Ah well. Great Matador!

Shannon, No.. I didn't think to get a better background(and yes, my house is cluttered 'cause all I do is work while the rest of the household makes messes ). I did get some outdoor shots, but they look a little streaky.
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
I love that he was so thoughtful in his gift giving, You did a great job 2.
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
wow, wow, wow - First of all happy Birthday beautiful!
Your son is awesome - as you well know - and loves you a lot to let you do this for/to him ( hopefully he liked it more then he thought he would... and may let you try again..)
I am flabbergasted and jealous that you came up with the bull fighter idea.... pity you didn't have a hat or cape as that would have made it photoshoot material for sure!
I wish I had thought of that as my man is portuguese and very slim so this design would of suited him to a tee.... I may have to see if I can sell him on it with showing him your wonderful art!
If you need help with photoshopping it let me know as my man is really good with PS.
I love it Linda - thanks for sharing! xxx

Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
Thanks Tash! I'd love to have it Phototshopped! I'm clueless when it come to editing(I use Gimp & know only how to crop & resize for the Snaz contests).
Tash, you should so paint the hubby. I'm sure there's something you could bribe him with!
It was fun to do, but he's very ticklish & my pinkie was driving him crazy(hence the not so crisp linwork). He was a great sport & starting doing turns & dance poses as soon as I was done. He also said when he has a dance company he'd have to hire me to paint the dancers(my 1st future client ).

Linda I have Gimp too. Here are some pics that my husband (Mr. Meanie) did using it.
He just went on YouTube and looked up tutorials on using Gimp on 'layering' and 'masks'

Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
Actually I read a book aboutit like 15 yrs ago and remembered some basics and just kinda geeked out on clicking things until I figured it out, but I do suggest looking those things up on youtube. Not everyone likes (click) hmmmmm (undo)......(click) hmmmmmmm (undo) as much as I do! LOLManabanana wrote:Linda I have Gimp too. Here are some pics that my husband (Mr. Meanie) did using it.

Sweet job, when I looked at the first photo, it took, my breath away!
Re: Finally Did a Body Painting!
Linda, can you please email me copies of the pics in as big as format as you can... he needs to blow them up as big as possible to work on them.
You may want to zip lock them so it's not a massive file to send.
